Sucker Punch combined music and action for a wild ride in theaters. For director Zack Snyder, this was his first original film following several adaptations. In the end, the movie gained nominations at the Scream Awards and Taurus Awards. We look at where cast members have been since its release.

Blink Of An Eye

Former Real World contestant Jamie Chung has become one of the show’s most successful alumni. Aside from Sucker Punch, she’s appeared in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and The Man with the Iron Fists. Currently, she portrays Blink on Fox’s hit show, The Gifted, which is based on the X-Men.

Belting Those Notes

Actress Emily Browning made her singing debut in Sucker Punch. “Zack asked me to put myself on tape, singing, which I’d never done before. I was terrified, of course. But he liked it. I have no idea why, but he thought me capable of carrying a tune on the screen,” she told the San Francisco Examiner. Her singing performance landed her on the soundtracks for Plush and God Help the Girl. Browning can currently be seen on Starz’s American Gods, which starts its third season this year.

The Poe Awakens

Following Sucker Punch, Oscar Isaac landed his Golden Globe-nominated role in Inside Llewyn Davis. In 2015, he gained his biggest role ever as Poe Dameron in the current Star Wars film trilogy. Poe was originally slated to die in The Force Awakens, but J.J. Abrams made some changes because Issac was such a fan-favorite.

The Doctor Will See You

In 2017, Rapper Abbie Cornish earned a SAG win for her work on Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Last summer, she starred in the Amazon web series Jack Ryan as Cathy Mueller. “Dr. Cathy Mueller is an interesting character. She’s smart and intelligent. My research on infectious diseases has been so fulfilling,” she told Collider. The second season of Jack Ryan will begin shooting soon.

Sucker For Haunts

Carla Gugino landed on box office juggernauts San Andreas and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Last year, she starred in Netflix’s spooky hit The Haunting of Hill House. “It’s really cool to see people really responding to it, but also the fact that they’re not just responding to being terrified — which they are — but they’re responding to the larger story that we were trying to tell, which is a story of a family and trauma in a family,” she told Bustle.

Beverly Hills, 90210: Was Luke Perry Team Dylan or Team Brandon?

Some television shows come into our lives at the exact right moment, so that they become inextricably bound with our memories of those complicated coming-of-age years, Beverly Hills 90210 is without a doubt one of those shows. We all tuned in week after week, year after year because the drama was just so addicting. The love triangles! The will-they-won’t-theys! Meanwhile, when the cameras weren’t rolling, the cast was up to plenty of off-set antics of their own. Disclaimer: after you read about what went down, it might have you rethinking everything — were those angsty expressions just good acting, or were they bringing some real-life drama into it?
