You’ll Be Surprised Where The Cast Of ‘Hook’ Are Today

In 1991, director Steven Spielberg brought Peter Pan to a newer audience with Hook. Starring Robin Williams, the box office hit gained five Oscars nominations, including Best Visual Effects and Best Makeup. With its 30 year anniversary coming very soon, we look at what certain cast members look like today.

Rufio, Rufio, Ru-fi-ooooooo

Dante Basco’s biggest live action role was easily Lost Boys’ leader Rufio. For the past 15 years, though, he’s added numerous roles as a voice actor. His most noticeable voice role is Prince Zuko in the Avatar franchise. Other prominent voice roles include Shingo from the Skate video game franchise and the title character of American Dragon: Jake Long.

Say It And Mean It

Julia Roberts nearly lost her Tinker Bell gig due to bad behavior, which involved fleeing the country following a breakup. Nowadays, she’s one of the biggest actresses of all time with a box office total of $2.8 billion. Roberts has earned four Oscar nominations, including her recent one for 2013’s August: Osage County.

Prepare To Meet Thy Doom

Dustin Hoffman was the first person in Spielberg’s mind to portray Captain Hook. Hoffman gained a Golden Globe nomination for his performance, but he lost to co-star Robin Williams. Recently, he made his directorial debut with 2012’s Quartet, which is based on the play of the same name.

By Hook Or By Crook

Following a string of theatre performances, Caroline Goodall landed the role of Peter’s wife Moira. A decade after the film, she gained the role of Helen Thermopolis in The Princess Diaries films. Goodall has been busy writing and producing her first full length film titled The Bay of Silence.

Mum Sang That Song

For Charlie Korsmo, Hook was one of his final film roles for a long time. Following an appearance in 1998’s Can’t Hardly Wait, he quit acting to earn his degree in physics. In 2011, Korsmo was picked by Barack Obama to join the Board of Trustees of the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation. 20 years after leaving acting, he returned for a small role in the drama Chained for Life.
