The Best Moments From Victoria’s Secret 2016 Fashion Show

Published

on

Victoria’s Secret fashion show has surely come a long way since it was first held 20 years ago in 1995. However, the latest, 2016 version, was perhaps the biggest and the best yet.

The glamour that came with the show will ensure that it remains on TV screens over the coming weeks, as it did not disappoint. Marking the 20th anniversary of the sexiest TV event in the world, huge names and catwalk queens took center stage to showcase their worth for those lucky enough to be in attendance.

While previous Victoria’s Secret fashion shows have been held in London, New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Cannes, it was the first time the show came to Paris, the City of Love. Previous events in the last two decades have seen various models including Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Adriana Lima, Gisele Bündchen, Heidi Klum and Karlie Kloss parading their beautifully honed figures down the Victoria’s Secret runway in virtually everything from million-dollar bras to furry Angel wings.

The 2016 version was by no means different as current big names such as Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Jasmine Tookes, Karlie Kloss, Sara Sampaio, Taylor Hill and Lily Aldridge among others showcased angels’ best-kept diet secrets, as well as this year’s million-dollar bra.

As with the glam that comes with such shows, there was no lack of best moments and extravaganza. Even though Kendall Jenner, Adriana Lima and Gigi Hadid looked absolutely stunning, the major talking point was Jasmine Tookes. She had the honor of wearing the $3 million Fantasy Bra that was designer by AW Mouzannar in collaboration with jewelry designer Eddie Borgo. It was an emerald-and-diamond-encrusted bra with more than 9,000 highly precious gems adding up to an astonishing 450 carats!

Another highlight at the Victoria’s Secret 2016 was Maria Borges who made history as the first Victoria Secret model to hit the runway in natural hair. The Angolan beauty challenged the VS norm by shaving her hair and rocked in her natural short afro.

While she was supported by her famous Kardashian family last year, this year saw Kendall Jenner flying solo as she finally earned her wings and made a grand entrance onto the runway in epic fashion.

Not to be short of extra performance and moments, the show had some of the biggest names in the music industry wow the crowd. From Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, The Weeknd to Bruno Mars, the six-themed show was simply magical.
