UPS Has A Secret Facebook Group Full Of Pics Of Delivery Drivers Playing With Dogs

Published

on

A delivery man’s worst nightmare is a vicious dog, so it’s always a relief when they’re met with a friendly tail wag instead of a snapping jaw.

In honor of all the good dogs that drivers have met while delivering packages, Sean McCarren of UPS has put together a Facebook group with pictures of some of the best canines. Maybe this will change the dog vs. postman stigma!

Pup’s Favorite UPS Driver

Take the example of Axle, a massive Mastiff that one might think would be a UPS driver’s worst nightmare.

While Axle doesn’t like most uninformed visitors, he welcomes his favorite UPS driver, Jeff, who’s seen the pup grow from a mere 25 pounds to the massive behemoth that he is today.

Jeff always brings a treat for Axle to enjoy while patting him on the head. That’s an unlikely friendship!

“I know people who buy a couple of boxes [of dog treats] a week,” said McCarren, founder of the group. “As soon as you deliver to a stop, especially in rural areas, they start popping up in your truck. They become a part of your family, kinda. They’re expecting you. The worst is when you run out of treats, next time, they get a double treat!”

Some Friendships Take Time

It’s not always love at first sight for these UPS drivers and the dogs that they meet. Daisy, for example, apparently took a month to win over with ample biscuits and praise.

Most drivers would steer clear of Pitbulls like Daisy, and while driver Monroe says that she was nervous at first, they’ve gradually become good friends as evidenced by the belly scratching that Daisy looks forward to every visit!

A Little Too Much PDA

Is this a case of too much PDA, or just another example of the BFF-status relationships that these UPS drivers have with dogs on the route? We lean towards the latter!

It seems like not all dogs and postmen are destined to be enemies, it just takes a little time and perhaps a bag of treats!

“At first I started adding a couple of local drivers, then it started to spread,” McCarren shared. “Slowly it trickles out. Some lady from Spain a few years ago liked the page — people from London, Germany. It’s really catching fire. I have people bombarding me with dogs right now.”

This is one Facebook group we’ll be paying close attention to for more adorable pictures and yet another bragging right over cat owners!

Neverland Ranch is Back On The Market: Take A Look Around the Amusement Park

Situated in the Santa Ynez Valley of Santa Monica, California, the almost 3,000 acre plot of land upon which Neverland Ranch was constructed has recently been placed back on the market. Nowadays, the one-time residence of international pop sensation Michael Jackson is going by a new name: Sycamore Valley Ranch. Much of the estate is as it was during the 15 years Jackson called it his home, except for a few glaring differences – namely, the removal of the fun-fair rides that gave the home its whimsical name Neverland Ranch. The very last vestiges of where the carousel once spun are still visible as you go through the grounds. Read on for an in-depth view of the ranch.
