Netflix Summons Two More Seasons Of The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina

Published

Let us toil in trouble and get our spellbooks ready; the hit Netflix series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina officially has a season three and a season four coming to Netflix in the near future. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news a few days after Netflix streamed the well-received Sabrina holiday special.

Fans Hooked By An Enchanting Story

For those yet to watch, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a darker version of the Archie comics character Sabrina. Fans might remember the teenage witch from the 90’s sitcom, where Sabrina would get into all sorts of magical hijinx, along with her hysterical and sarcastic cat Salem.

Netflix

However, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina rendition, based on a comic of same name, utilizes satanic imagery, high-tension relationships, and edgier plot lines that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Robert Aguierre-Sacasa, series developer for Riverdale, also wrote and developed both the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comic and Netflix show.

The Cast Continues To Work Magic

Kiernan Shipka, who played Sally Draper in the critically-acclaimed series Mad Men, will continue her roll. Thankfully, it doesn’t look like any other characters will be hexed out of existence either, since the rest of the cast are also slated for seasons 3 and 4.

Netflix

The cast will be joined by Jedidiah Goodcare from Descendants, as well as Alexis Denisof, who is sure to feel at home in Sabrina‘s supernatural world, as he appeared in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spinoff Angel.

Fans Charmed By Possible Crossover With Riverdale

Riverdale, the edgier and darker television version of the Archie comics, may have a crossover special with Sabrina. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the creative force behind both shows, told Entertainment Weekly that he did have some one-off ideas of Archie’s gang visiting Sabrina’s town of Greendale.

Netflix

There are plenty of crossovers in the Archie and Sabrina comics that Roberto can draw inspiration from. We don’t know when, why, or how, but fans of both shows could look forward to seeing Archie and Sabrina on the same screen. While anything can happen, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is sure to keep audiences spell bound.
