Trump Approval Rating Plumets to 35%

Published

on

Despite his claims that there would be nothing but winning during his administration, President Donald Trump’s approval rating continues to drop. Today, it sits at 35%, according to the newest Quinnipiac poll. This is the lowest approval rating for any sitting president at this juncture of their presidency. Some experts say that it cannot go much lower as this may represent the base of his support.

The bad news for the president doesn’t end there. According to that same poll:

  • 61 – 34 percent that he is not honest;
  • 55 – 40 percent that he does not have good leadership skills;
  • 57 – 39 percent that he does not care about average Americans;
  • 66 – 29 percent that he is not level-headed;
  • 64 – 33 percent that he is a strong person;
  • 60 – 35 percent that he is intelligent;
  • 61 – 34 percent that he does not share their values.

Trump’s approval rating looks worse in other polling

Other polls put the president even lower than that. According to TechnoMetrica, a division of Investor’s Business Daily, the president has an approval rating of only 34%. They had the president at 44.1% in March. They report that the president has remained under water since his inauguration in January.

The news comes at the same time that the new administration faces two foreign policy crises. Yesterday, reports came in of a massive chemical weapons attack on civilians in Syria and North Korean leader, Kim Jung Un launched a missile into the sea.

Since taking office in January, the president has taken the time to mention his victory in November just about every chance that he gets but he has not responded at all to his low approval rating and dropping poll numbers.

On Morning Joe today, host Joe Scarborough said, “Well, listen, if we do get the part of the speech where he talks about his 34 percent approval rating, we will play it for you all because we don’t want to be fake news. We want to be as complete and accurate as possible.”
