The Glorious Transformation Of Catherine Zeta-Jones’ Daughter Carys Zeta

Published

Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones has the best life alongside husband Michael Douglas. Something they’re both proud of are their two kids Dylan Michael and Carys Zeta. For Zeta-Jones, her daughter was something she wanted since she was a young adult. Nowadays, the two can be mistaken as twin sisters!

Born Into Royalty

Carys Zeta came into the world on  20, 2003 in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Growing up, one major thing she dreaded was the massive legacy bestowed upon her. “When I was younger I didn’t like the idea of having this name attached to me, this kind of ‘Douglas dynasty’ stuff,” she told Town & Country Magazine.

Things really took a turn when she learned about the life of paparazzi. “I used to get really upset. They would jump on the subway and sit right in front of me. I was, like, six. I was confused. That’s when I knew, ‘If this is going to be what it’s like, I need to focus on who I really am, and this is going to be something that’s just going to happen, and I can’t do anything about it,” she told the magazine. Fortunately, the love of her family helped her go through those rough times.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

The connection between Catherine and Carys Zeta is the kind of bond you’d expect between mother and daughter. Much like her mother, Carys Zeta is completely in love with fashion. “Fashion has been so important in my life because my mom is like a fashion icon to me. I’m always looking through her closet,” she said.

In 2017, Carys Zeta attended her first ever New York Fashion Week with her mom.

Becoming Her Own Person

When it comes to the future, the 15-year-old already has plans. As expected, acting is automatically in her sights. She performed in several high school productions, including one for Once on This Island. She understands that she’ll have to silence critics claiming she’ll get opportunities because of her last name. “I feel I need to constantly prove myself to people—that I am not just my parents’ daughter,” she said.

Whatever she does, Carys Zeta will definitely do it her way.
