Many are familiar with the talented soccer player, Cristiano Ronaldo, who is viewed as one of the best players in the game. However, few know enough about his loving and successful fiancée, Georgina Rodriguez. The two have kept their dating life mostly out of the limelight but here are some little known facts about Rodriguez herself.
A Rough Childhood
Rodriguez was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1995. Her father, Jorge Rodriguez, was convicted on drug-related charges and put in jail when she was young. Rodriguez’ mother moved her and her sister Ivana to Jaca, Spain with hopes of a better life. However, Rodriguez struggled to take care of her finances and ended up taking on several jobs like waitressing to try to make ends meet. While she was working for a family in Jaca, they decided to move to Bristol, England and took her with them. It was a great opportunity for Rodriguez to expand her horizons. She was able to learn English as a second language, took on dance classes, and grew overall as an individual. After some time in Bristol, Rodriguez decided to strike out on her own. She eventually moved on her own to Madrid where she would meet her future beau, Christiano Ronaldo.
A Chance Encounter
While in Madrid, Rodriguez began working in a local Gucci store to pay the bills. She became enamored by the fashion industry and designer brands. Her work allowed her to be a part of different fashion events that were held at the store. During a Dolce and Gabbana VIP event in 2016, she and Ronaldo met and the two hit it off. Though not a lot of details are known about Ronaldo and Rodriguez’ dating life, the public associated her as his girlfriend. She rose to fame quickly and was unable to work at any local stores anymore because the paparazzi would constantly be around taking pictures. Being with Ronaldo, Rodriguez became stepmom to his son, Cristiano Jr. who was born in 2010. Ronaldo had full custody of his son and the mother’s whereabouts are not publicly known to this day. In June 2017, the couple welcomed twins Eva and Mateo through surrogacy. Rodriguez then gave birth to their daughter, Alana, in November of that same year. Ronaldo asked Rodriguez to marry him in 2018 and she happily accepted. As they prepare to walk down the aisle, the two are clearly very happy with their family and in love. However, don’t think that Rodriguez isn’t making a name for herself in the entertainment industry. In fact, she’s making quite the impact.
Striking A Pose
Outside of her life as a loving fiancée and a mom, Rodriguez is a very successful model. She doesn’t walk the runway but instead focuses on print, posing for the cameras for various fashion gigs. She’s been featured in magazines like Nova Gente, Lux, VIP, Women’s Health, and LOVE. She is also the brand ambassador for Yamamay, a popular Italian lingerie brand. Rodriguez‘ brand has also grown on social media with over 12 million followers on her Instagram account. She regularly uses the account to campaign for various brands like Fashion Nova but also shares much of her personal life. The model posts behind-the-scenes photos and videos of her family, her workout routine in the gym, and her own work. So, even though her partner is probably the most decorated and well-known player in soccer history, Rodriguez isn’t just hiding in his shadow. She’s made her life successful as well on all fronts. Only time will tell where she goes from here, but it’s clear that Rodriguez’ star is on the rise.
