3 Theories For How Game Of Thrones Ends For Daenerys

Published

on

One of the best TV series to ever hit screens, HBO’s Game Of Thrones, is quickly approaching its ninth and final season. Fans of the hit show are heavily anticipating the six-episode finale, with the first episode set to premiere this April. As the show comes to a close, naturally, fans can’t help but spitball theories about how the series will end. More specifically, what will the fate of some of the show’s biggest characters, such as Jon Snow and Tyrion, be? Who will end up on the Iron Throne?

Possibility Of A Mad Queen

Over the course of the past seasons, a front-runner has been Daenerys Targaryen (played by Emilia Clarke), also known as Khaleesi or Mother of Dragons. It makes sense; she does have dragons on her side. But that’s now the only theory floating around.

If Daenerys does end up the crowned victor, there’s some speculation she will do so in quite a similar fashion as her father, Aerys Targaryen, also known as the Mad King. During his reign, her father supposedly went crazy with power, as well as the fear of losing it. He ordered Jaime Lannister to set the town on fire, who instead opted to kill the Mad King. Some fans believe Daenery’s aggressive, ruthless, and extreme behavior leading up to the finale season is hinting toward a fate similar to her father’s.

A Complicated Relationship

One of the biggest storylines to unfold in season 7 was the relationship between Daenerys and Jon Snow, who became romantically connected. Yet neither one of them knows that Snow is actually Daenerys nephew, which they will soon likely find out and, understandably, end their relationship.

More interesting, once it’s revealed Snow is actually a Targaryen, it brings him that much closer to rightful heir of the throne. Further, some believe that not only will Daenerys not make it to the end but that her demise will actually be at the hand of Snow.

A White Walker Outcome

One of the more interesting yet complex theories floating around among GOT fans is that the Mother of Dragons will become a White Walker. This theory stems from the Azor Ahai legend, which claims the leader of the villains, the Night Walker, started as a Commander of the Night’s Watch, then fell in love with someone referred to as a “corpse queen” (which, from some angles, can look strikingly similar to Daenerys and Jon’s story thus far).

However, that Night King is also said to have turned his wife into a White Walker by striking a sword through her chest. While this may seem unlikely, it may not actually be too far off, since some cast members have hinted that main characters could very well turn into White Walkers before the show ends.

There are endless theories and possibilities for the outcome of the show. Fortunately for Game Of Thrones fans, they only have to wait a couple more months until they get their answers.
