‘The Bachelor’ franchise has led to a number of relationships and engagements over the years. Though just like the reality TV show’s iconic roses, the majority of romances wilt as soon as the cameras stop rolling and the contestants are removed from the Bachelor mansion or Paradise resort. Whether they found each other on screen or met as part of the Bachelor franchise family, or Bachelor Nation, here’s a look at what some of our favorite couples are up to today.
1. Joelle (Jojo) Fletcher & Jordan Rodgers: The Bachelorette, Season 12
When Bachelorette Joelle – aka Jojo – Fletcher first met former pro-football player Jordan Rodgers at the Bachelor mansion on night one, sparks flew. Sparks flew so high, in fact, that she awarded him the first impression rose: a symbol of their connection and immunity from elimination.
Following their engagement on the season finale, the couple started a web series about their life together, “Engaged with Jojo and Jordan.” In July 2019, they became the stars of CNBC’s new reality house flipping series, Cash Pad. They also purchased their first home together. And as if that’s not enough excitement – Rodgers re-proposed to Fletcher in August 2019 and the pair officially decided on a 2020 wedding date. Yay!
2. Desiree Hartsock & Chris Siegfried: The Bachelorette, Season 9
Desiree Hartsock was let down by the perceived front-runner of her season, Brooks Forester, whom she’d told she wanted to end up with at the end. Therefore, during the second-to-last week of the show, many Bachelor Nation fans thought she would end up alone. But to the shock of many, she ended up accepting a proposal from last man standing, Chris Siegfried.
The couple have been married for four years as of October 2019 and currently reside in Portland, Oregon. The couple have two sons, and recently welcomed their youngest in January 2019. Aside from her mommy duties, Hartsock is the designer of her namesake bridal line called Desiree Hartsock Bridal.
3. Arie Luyendyk Jr. & Lauren Burnham: The Bachelor, Season 22
One of the most controversial moments in the Bachelor Nation’s history came at the hands of bachelor, Arie Luyendyk. Luyendyk caused a media firestorm when he broke up on national television with then-fiancée Becca Kufrin mere weeks after he’d proposed to give another shot at things with his runner-up of the season, Lauren Burnham.
And though the controversy around their relationship lost them a lot of fans, the couple are apparently in it for the long haul. They had a dreamy Hawaii wedding in January 2019 and welcomed their first daughter, Alessi in May 2019 – who, by the way, already had 322,000 Instagram followers as of October 2019. Just let that sink in.
4. Jared Haibon & Ashley Iaconetti: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 2
After Jared Haibon failed at finding love with Kaitlyn Bristowe in 2015 and Ashley Iaconetti failed at finding love with Chris Soules the same year, the two signed up for the second season of Bachelor in Paradise to give another shot at finding “the one.”
It was here that their love story began. And while the beginning of their relationship was characterized by a smitten Iaconetti chasing after a not-so-enthused Haibon, they eventually got together and made their relationship public in May 2018. Haibon got down on one knee just a few weeks later and the couple said “I do” in a dreamy, Rhode Island wedding in August 2019. To celebrate their love, the happy couple honeymooned in Greece.
5. Jason Mesnick & Molly Malaney: The Bachelor, Season 13
Before there was Arie Luyendyk’s stint of proposing to one woman only to later go back to his runner-up, there was Jason Mesnick. He proposed to Melissa Rycroft on the final episode of his season, spurned her on the “After the Final Rose” episode, and then asked to resume things with runner-up, Molly Malaney.
Although not the most favorable grounds on which to solidify a forever love, their relationship has seemed to flourish. The couple married in 2010 and currently raise their two children – Jason’s son, Ty from a previous marriage and the pair’s daughter, Riley – in Seattle. While Mesnick works as a real estate broker, Malaney is a KISS FM radio host.
6. Kevin Wendt & Astrid Loch: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 5
Canadian firefighter Kevin Wendt and Florida-born office manager Astrid Loch started their relationship on the sandy beaches of the Playa Escondida Resort in Sayulita, Mexico during the fifth season of Bachelor in Paradise. And in true ‘Paradise’ fashion, the pair immediately hit it off.
Their relationship was so affectionate and stable, they earned themselves the nickname of “mom and dad” from the other contestants. So when they decided to go their separate ways on the last day of ‘Paradise,’ they understandably left everyone in shock. Thankfully, they reunited not long after during the show’s reunion episode. In December 2018, Loch announced that she had moved into Wendt’s Toronto home, and in September 2019, the pair got engaged! Are those wedding bells we hear?
7. Colton Underwood & Cassie Randolph: The Bachelor, Season 23
Anyone who watched Colton Underwood’s unconventional season of The Bachelor can probably agree that it looked as if the former football player was going to end up alone. Seriously, what else could you think after Cassie Randolph sent herself home and Underwood decided to end his relationship with the remaining two women?
Luckily, that wasn’t the case. Underwood managed to convince Randolph that there didn’t need to be a proposal at the end of the season, and the two agreed to be boyfriend and girlfriend. These days, they’re living a few miles from each other in Los Angeles while Randolph studies for a master’s in speech pathology.
8. Kaitlyn Bristowe (The Bachelorette, Season 11) & Jason Tartick (The Bachelorette, Season 14)
Unlike most couples on this list, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick didn’t meet during the filming of one of the series in the Bachelor franchise (which include: The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, The Bachelor Winter Games, and Bachelor Pad).
Instead, the pair met during a taping of Bristowe’s podcast, Off The Vine. This was shortly after she had ended her three-year engagement with Shawn Booth, the winner of her season of The Bachelorette. After going public with their relationship in January 2019, it took just five months for Bristowe and Tartick to move in together. And in June 2019, they added a furry friend to their Nashville home – a rescue dog from Korea, Ramen.
9. Becca Kufrin & Garrett Yrigoyen: The Bachelorette, Season 14
Season 22’s bachelor Arie Luyendyk told Becca Kufrin – the woman he proposed to at the end of his season – that he had made a mistake. He said he wanted to instead pursue a relationship with runner-up Lauren Burnham, and Kufrin was justifiably heartbroken.
But thankfully, she was able to find true love with California-native Garret Yrigoyen on her following season of The Bachelorette. The two got engaged during the finale. During summer 2019, Kufrin launched her own clothing brand, B the Label. Yrigoyen has taken to Instagram to show his support for his fiancée (in more ways than giving her a piggy-back ride). They live in San Diego, California with their adopted corgi, Minno.
10. Tanner Tolbert & Jade Roper: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 2
After meeting on season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise, Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert – aka “Janner” – tied the knot eight months later. This granted them the distinction of being the first couple to get engaged and actually married from The Bachelor spinoff show.
The couple first settled in Tolbert’s hometown of Kansas City, before moving cross-country to a new home in San Juan Capistrano, California. There, they raise daughter Emmy and son Brooks, who they welcomed in July 2019. Believe it or not, Brooks was born in the couples’ bedroom closet while Roper was getting dressed to rush to the hospital. Roper now spends her time parenting and working on her jewelry line, Reviver, which she founded with another lady on this list.
11. Ashley Hebert & J.P. Rosenbaum: The Bachelorette, Season 7
Ashley Hebert failed to win over Brad Womack’s heart on the second season of The Bachelor. But she was given another shot at a fairytale ending when she got engaged to J.P. Rosenbaum at the end of her season of The Bachelorette. Perhaps most impressive of all are the remarkably normal lives they lead.
Following their 2012 nuptials, the couple welcomed son Fordham in 2014, and daughter Essex in 2016. And in 2018, after nearly six years of marriage, the couple said “I do” once more on Eagle Beach in Aruba. Anyone else sensing a common theme here? We wonder what 2020 will have in store for them!
12. Holly Durst & Blake Julian: Bachelor Pad, Season 2
Remember the short-lived spinoff series Bachelor Pad where contestants were invited back to the mansion and competed in challenges to win dates, immunity, and a grand prize of $250,000? Well, Holly Durst and Blake Julian proudly hold the title of being the only successful couple to come from the series.
The couple exchanged vows in 2012. They currently live in South Carolina, where Durst works as a children’s books author, runs a party rental business, and competes in beauty pageants, while Julian is a dentist. In July 2019, Durst opened up about their seven-year-long struggle with infertility, miscarriages, surrogacy, and IVF.
13. Joe Amabile & Kendall Long: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 5
“Grocery store Joe” Amabile and “taxidermy girl” Kendall Long beat the odds and found lasting love in Mexico while filming season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise – though it wasn’t all smooth sailing. After calling it quits on their relationship at the end of the season, Long traveled to Amabile’s Chicago hometown to set things straight.
Thankfully, the two were able to work through their problems. They announced on the reunion episode that they were giving their relationship another shot. Things have been going well for the couple, who officially moved into a West Hollywood home together in April 2019. As for marriage and kids? Kendall told Life & Style, “We don’t have a specific timeline, but we talk about it a lot.”
14. Caeylnn Miller-Keyes & Dean Unglert: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 6
Bachelor in Paradise‘s season four ‘bad boy,’ Dean Unglert finally redeemed himself – and found love with former Miss North Carolina, Caeylnn Miller-Keyes – in the latest season of the show. But the change didn’t happen overnight. In fact, he first left ‘Paradise‘s’ Mexico beach, breaking up Miller-Keyes on her birthday, before returning to win her back.
Despite their rocky start, and the fact that Unglert now lives in a camper van after selling nearly everything he owns, Miller-Keyes told Access Hollywood that she’s the happiest she’s ever been in a relationship. What’s more, the pageant queen has even joined in on some of Unglert’s recent van travels!
15. Raven Gates & Adam Gottschalk: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 4
Season four of Bachelor in Paradise brought us one couple that is still going strong: Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk. While their spark in ‘Paradise‘ was evident to viewers across America, the pair decided to hold off on getting engaged at the end of the six-week season (as is expected for most couples who make it to the finale).
Following the end of filming, they dated long-distance for some time before Gates crossed state lines from her Hoxie, Arkansas home to be with Gottschalk in Dallas, Texas. It seems the couple have finally decided it’s time to get engaged. After nearly two years of dating, Gottschalk got down on one knee in May 2019, and Gates said “yes!”
16. Dylan Barbour & Hannah Goodwin: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 6
The beginning of Dylan Barbour and Hannah Goodwin’s romance was the classic story of girl likes boy and boy likes girl, but boy can’t fully commit because he wants the opportunity to explore other relationships… except reversed. That’s right: while Barbour came on Bachelor in Paradise to pursue only Goodwin, it took the model some time to commit.
But once she did, the two formed a strong connection, so strong that they got engaged during the final episode. Goodwin is now preparing to leave her native Alabama and move to California to be closer to her man. In the meantime she’s continuing to model, while her entrepreneur fiancé works to grow his business, an app that pairs exercise with food donation.
17. Carly Waddell & Evan Bass: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 3
Faking your own death is one – albeit, strange – way to seize your crush’s attention. And for Evan Bass, the shocking tactic actually worked. Failing multiple times to win Carly Waddell’s love on season 3’s Bachelor in Paradise, Bass feigned a medical emergency that landed him in the ER.
Bass’ cry for attention was successful. The couple are now happily married, living in Nashville, Tennessee. In February 2018, they welcomed their first daughter, Isabella, and in May 2019 they announced that another is on its way! When she’s not busy being mom, Waddell is working on her jewelry line, Reviver, with Jade Roper.
18. Rachel Lindsay & Bryan Abasolo: The Bachelorette, Season 13
Dallas-native Rachel Lindsay made Bachelor history as the first-ever African American bachelorette. Beyond that, she is remembered for having caused quite the stir with her devastating break-up with Peter Kraus. She had told Kraus she loved him, right before accepting a proposal from Bryan Abasolo.
The engagement justifiably left fans doubtful of their love, but the couple have managed to make it work. In August 2019, they married in an island-chic Mexico wedding, moving to Abosolo’s Miami hometown just before. Babies may be on the horizon, as Lindsay told ET in 2018: “I want to have kids. I really want to start next year…We’ve been traveling so much and I want to create this family unit and a home for us.”
19. Chris Randone & Krystal Nielson: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 6
Considered ‘villains’ of their seasons, Chris “Goose” Randone and Krystal Nielson both had on-screen meltdowns that kept them from 1) receiving an immunity rose and 2) acquiring a strong Bachelor Nation fanbase. But at least they found each other during Bachelor in Paradise‘s sixth season, right?!
Considering their respective Bachelor pasts, many believed Randone and Nielson to be the perfect match after they fell in love in ‘Paradise.’ Leaving their season engaged, the pair got hitched in a June 2019 Mexico wedding. Nowadays, they live together in San Diego, California with their two pups and document their lives together in their YouTube series, “Glitter & The Goose.”
20. Catherine Giudici & Sean Lowe: The Bachelor, Season 17
Lowe and behold: another Bachelor record-holder! Season 17’s Sean Lowe is the only Bachelor that has married the winner of his season. And while his proposal to Catherine Giudici at the season’s finale shocked much of America, the couple have certainly proved that their love was built to last.
Their 2014 wedding was officiated by none other than host Chris Harrison. Since then, the pair got to work on their dream of building a big family for their Dallas, Texas home. They’re the parents to two boys, with yet another kiddo on the way! When she isn’t busy with mom duties, Giudici is working on her stationary card company, Lowe Co.
21. Trista Rehn & Ryan Sutter: The Bachelorette, Season 1
Leave it to the ladies to know who to pick! As the very first-ever Bachelorette, Trista Rehn has set a great example for all who follow in her footsteps. She has remained with the winner of her season, Ryan Sutter, since his proposal in the 2002 season finale. No wonder they’re considered to be the franchise’s OG success story.
These days, the couple live together in Vail, Colorado with their two children, son Maxwell and daughter Blakesley, who – they told in a March 2019 interview with The Today Show – they hope will never watch their season. In Colorado, Rehn is an author and TEDx Vail speaker while Sutter is a firefighter, Ninja Warrior, and coffee connoisseur.
22. Demi Burnett & Kristian Haggerty: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 6
Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty made Bachelor history after becoming the franchise’s first same-sex couple. But their start wasn’t without its challenges. Having briefly dated before the filming of last season’s Bachelor in Paradise, Burnett left for Mexico to film for the show. Once there, she struck up a relationship with fellow contestant, Derek Peth.
But unable to get Haggerty out of her head, she ended things with her man. It was then that Bachelor producers invited Haggerty to Mexico. The two blondes fell even more in love, and Burnett got down on one knee during the season finale. Haggerty later returned the favor by proposing to her fiancée during the reunion episode. Aww!
23. Peyton Wright (The Bachelor, Season 10) & Chris Lambton (The Bachelorette, Season 6)
Peyton Wright and Chris Lambton may not have fallen in love on television, but they did hit it off after meeting at a Bachelor Nation event in 2010. Two years later, the love birds walked down the aisle and into their future together.
The couple have two children: a daughter, Lyla and a son, Hayes, who they welcomed in December 2018. In their hometown on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, they have continued along their reality TV path. The pair have since starred in a number of HGTV and DIY Network landscaping series, like Going Yard, Lawn and Order, and Yard Crashers.
24. John Paul Jones & Tayshia Adams: Bachelor in Paradise, Season 6
Trouble-maker John Paul Jones (aka JPJ) left ‘Paradise‘ heartbroken after Tayshia Adams ended their relationship before the season finale. While he told her he loved her – and even saw her as his future wife after only filming together for 21-ish days – Adams didn’t feel the same.
Emotions shifted after the two left Mexico. Adams made a bold move by showing up on Jones’ doorstep to try and win him back. It appears things today are looking up for the couple. JPJ told US Weekly during the reunion episode that he is thinking of moving from his home in Maryland to LA so that he can be closer to Adams, who currently lives in Orange County.
25. Jesse Csincsak (The Bachelorette, Season 4) & Ann Leuders (The Bachelor, Season 13):
After taking home the final rose on season four of The Bachelorette and calling off his wedding to DeAnna Pappas nearly four months after the engagement, retired pro-snowboarder Jesse Csnicsak found love within Bachelor Nation with Ann Leuders. The couple got hitched in Vegas back in 2010, and now live together in Arizona with their three kids: Noah, Carter, and Charlotte.
Unsure if they’ll continue adding to their family, Csincsak told The Daily Mail following the 2016 birth of his daughter: “What’s funny is this is our third whoops. Three of the best whoops we have ever had we didn’t plan any of them god just blessed us with them all. Who knows what the future will hold but I can tell you we are outta seat belts in my trucks.”
26. Drew Kenney (The Bachelorette, Season 9) &Amy Long (The Bachelor, Season 18)
Drew Kenney, who was most remembered for being the runner-up of Desiree Hartstock’s season of The Bachelorette in 2013, and Amy Long, who was eliminated in week two of Juan Pablo Galavis’ season of The Bachelor in 2014, both didn’t fare very well when looking for love on TV.
But thankfully, Bachelor Nation brought them together. The two went public with their relationship in June 2014, just five months after Long’s season of The Bachelor first aired. They have been together ever since and frequently post about each other on Instagram. It seems that when they’re not at the beach with their dog Cooper, they’re either hiking, working out, or enjoying a nice dinner together.
27. Ty Brown (The Bachelorette, Season 6) & Elizabeth Kitt (The Bachelor, Season 14):
While Elizabeth Kitt was sent home during week one of Jake Pavelka’s season of The Bachelor in 2010, she later made an appearance on season one of Bachelor Pad. Ty Brown, on the other hand, was one of the last five contestants on Ali Fedotowsky’s season of The Bachelorette in 2010.
Years later, Brown and Kitt met at a charity event and started dating in 2013. They got engaged just nine months later and walked down the aisle in March 2014. Following a year-long challenge with infertility, the couple finally welcomed their first daughter, Blakely, in April of 2018. Yay!
28. Katie Morton & Chris Bukowski: Bachelor in Paradise, Season
While Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski started out strong, over the last season of Bachelor in Paradise, both went through waves of uncertainty regarding their relationship. And though they walked away engaged, their struggles didn’t end when the cameras stopped rolling.
Morton shows up to the reunion episode without her engagement ring on and detailed to America the challenges of her long-distance relationship with Bukowski (Morton lives in California while Bukowski lives in Chicago). It seems the couple have managed to turn things around, as Bukowski wrote on Instagram, “What I felt then I feel even more now. I love you [Katie] and can’t wait to feed you pizza for the rest of our lives.” Aww!
Molly Ringwald Was Apparently The Culprit Behind Getting A Cast Member Fired On The Breakfast Club
It’s been well more than three decades since the movie The Breakfast Club taught us about seeing each other as more than just a jock, a nerd, a beauty, a criminal, or a basket case. Written and directed by John Hughes, this feel-good ‘80s flick has withstood the test of time. However, things weren’t always so joyful and boundary-breaking behind the scenes, from one famous actor-director rift, to one star’s powerful ability to influence.
