So, The Test Screening Of ‘Aquaman’ Apparently Went… Great

Let’s be real: the DC Cinematic Universe isn’t in great shape right now. Filled with more misses than hits, many comic book fans are slowly giving up on it. One upcoming film, however, is looking to change their minds.

King Of The Seven Seas

Over the decades, Aquaman was always one of the least likely superheroes to gain his own film. On December 21, 2018, that all changes. Warner Bros. decided to hold a small test screening of the forthcoming film, and the response was very positive.

Warner Bros.

Some people have stated that it was a better film than both Wonder Woman and Justice League. Due to the overwhelming response, the studio will probably not change a thing before its release date.

The Marine Marvel

Aquaman was directed by James Wan, who is known as the co-creator of the popular Saw franchise. The film will also feature Willem Dafoe, Dolph Lundgren, and Nicole Kidman.

Warner Bros.

This will be the third DC film for former Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa. He first portrayed Aquaman in the 2016 film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. There’s no word if he’ll be a part of the Justice League sequel, which is currently in development.

Expanding The Universe

Aquaman is the beginning of a string of DC movies set to be released in next couple of years. On April 5, 2019, Shazam! will be released to the public. On November 1, 2019, the highly anticipated sequel to Wonder Woman drops in theaters.

Warner Bros.

2020 will see the releases of a Cyborg solo film (April 3) and Green Lantern Corps (July 20). At this time, neither film has a director attached to them. Cyborg is in a bigger struggle with no script yet. Green Lantern Corps will be written and produced by David S. Goyer and Justin Rhodes.
