The Surprising Whereabouts Of ‘Frasier’ Star Jane Leeves

Frasier

Actress Jane Leeves won the hearts of everyone as Daphne Moon on Frasier. Her performance earned her Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for Best Supporting Actress. Leeves also gained the title of highest-paid British actress on TV. Where has she been and what has Jane Leeves been up to since the show’s conclusion in 2004.

In The Booth

Leeves has been busy with some time in the voice actor’s booth. Recently, she appeared in the animated shows Lego Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures and Phineas and Ferb. Leeves got her start doing voice acting in the 1996 movie James and the Giant Peach. “The director had seen me on `Frasier‘ and loved the accent and voice,” she told Chicago Tribune.

Hot For Leeves

In 2010, Leeves landed the role of Joy Scroggs in TV Land’s Hot In Cleveland. For the actress, Scroggs was a perfect fit. “I love Joy. I love her cynicism and the fact that she’s so damaged,” she told Smashing Interviews Magazine. The show became an instant hit with six seasons on the air. The show also reunited Leeves with former Frasier co-star, John Mahoney.

From Housekeeper To Surgeon

In 2018, Leeves joined the cast of Fox’s medical drama The Resident for its second season. She portrayed orthopedic surgeon Kitt Voss. “They wanted to [add a] note to the show — not necessarily hugely comedic, but a bit of humor. And I love this character. She’s assertive without being aggressive, and her greatest joy is being able to fix her patients,” Leeves told Arizona Daily Star.

Teaming With An Old Friend

Leeves and former Frasier co-star Peri Gilpin founded their own production company titled Bristol Cities. In 2007, they worked on the pilot for the remake of The Vicar of Dibley. Emmy winning actress Kirstie Alley joined the cast as Geraldine Granger. While the show wasn’t picked up, Leeves and Gilpin have some other ideas in mind.

Love And Marriage

Since 1996, Leeves has been married to CBS executive Marshall Coben. “I married the right guy. I love him to death. He’s my best friend, and he’s really cute, too. I think the fact that I have a successful marriage is because I wasn’t looking for a relationship,” she told Huffington Post. The couple has two amazing children: Isabella Kathryn (born 2001) and Finn William (born 2003).
