Action movies are famous for their crowd-pleasing explosions, fighting, and action scenes. One of this summer’s heart-racing blockbuster feature films is Skyscraper, starring none other than the immensely talented Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. While there are plenty of great aspects of this film, audiences everywhere can’t help but obsess over one particular stunt: that jump.

Everyone Loves “The Rock”

Even during his early days as a professional wrestler, Dwayne’s fan base was incredibly vocal. It only took him a few years of touring with the then-WWF before he realized movies were in his future.

And even though he’s a hit amongst moviegoers, there’s still a lot of speculation surrounding his infamous jump in Skyscraper.

Did He Really Do It?

Move over, Tom Cruise. It looks like there’s another brave action star in Hollywood, and his name is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Recently, the director of Skyscraper, Rawson Marshall Thurber, proved with visual and scientific proof that Dwayne made the same high-stakes jump his character took in the film.

Rather than settling for CGI and wires, The Rock took to the “sky” in this massive studio built to record practical effects. With the help of editing and special lighting, they were able to pull off the stunt of a lifetime!

There’s Nothing He Can’t Do!

Dwayne Johnson‘s fame continues to rise to new heights with each feature he releases, and his success shows absolutely no signs of slowing down.

Whatever he chooses to do next, we know he’s bound to crush it. He’s dominated wrestling, television, and Hollywood, making him an indisputable legend of our generation. And the fact he actually risked his health for this one stunt in Skyscraper further proves his dedication to the craft. You can’t say that about too many people these days.
