‘Stranger Things’ Cast Members Hint At What We Can Expect In Season Three

Published

on

Stranger Things is Netflix’s most popular series, hands down.15.8 million people watched its second season within the first three days of its release in October 2017. With production underway for the third season, fans are wondering what adventures are upcoming for their favorite gang from Hawkins, Indiana.

Where Season Two Left Off

The Netflix supernatural series had an emotional second season. Spoiler alert: Eleven is reunited with her friends and helps save them by closing the gate to the Upside Down. The middle school students attend the Snow Ball dance, but the final shot reveals the Mind Flayer looming over Hawkins Middle School, possibly hinting that he will haunt the kids in season three.

Multiple Fan Theories

Because the show’s second season concluded with a tease for the third season, fans have many speculations of what to expect when the show returns, according to rumors, in early 2019. Fans believe the Mind Flayer will return to haunt the teenagers, particularly Eleven. In addition, fans also anticipate Eleven’s controlling “Papa” will make a surprise appearance and interrupt her life once again.

Some Truth To These Theories

There might be some truth to these fan theories, which proves that Stranger Things fans know their show inside and out. While little has been announced to build suspense, the show’s creators, The Duffer Brothers, and director, Shawn Levy, have hinted that the characters will venture outside Hawkins for more adventures.

Revealing More Hints

Millie Bobby Brown, who portrays Eleven in the Netflix series, explained that the upcoming season will be a “beautiful storyline for Eleven.” The Duffer Brothers added that all of the characters will have interesting journeys and the new season will further develop the romantic relationships. Of course, we can also look forward to multiple unexpected twists.

Keeping Things A Secret

When the cast walked the red carpet at the recent MTV Movie & TV Awards, interviewers were quick to ask about the upcoming season. Of course, the teenagers kept quiet and only reiterated the same news already in public knowledge. Finn Wolfhard commented that the third season introduces new characters and takes place in 1985.

Anything else? Well, we’ll just have to (impatiently) wait for 2019.
