Former Rihanna, Beyonce backup dancer goes missing

Pop singer Rihanna has come out and asked her fans to assist in finding one of her backup dancers who reportedly went missing. The Dancer, Shirlene Quigley, 32, is originally from North Bergen, New Jersey. She has worked with the Umbrella songstress in some of her live performances and was also a backup in the SOS music video.

Quigley has also performed with the likes of Beyonce, Missy Elliot and Jamie Foxx, as well. Rihanna even went ahead and posted an image of the dancer on her Instagram page and pleaded with her fans to get in touch with the police if they had any information regarding the matter.

Alongside her career as a dancer, Quigley also works as a dance teacher at the Peridance Capezio Center and in the Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan. She was last seen boarding a bus at the Port Authority Terminal in New York. It is however not know where she was heading to.

Brad Quigley, the missing dancer’s father said that they usually communicate everyday around 6pm and when she did not get in touch with him that day, he became worried. Her mobile phone was found at a bridal shop and this is according to the police. Her father says that she might have gone to the bridal shop to buy something for her performances.

Quigley is said to be deeply religious was also celibate, saving herself for marriage. Her parents are not aware if she was in a relationship or having intentions of getting married. They said to have found it odd that she was in a bridal shop, and said that if she had intentions of getting married, she would have loved to have them attend the ceremony. Quigley’s father, however, claims that she was ‘euphoric’ before she vanished.

Friends also say that Quigley was acting weird before the disappearance. She reportedly even left one of her friends a cryptic message, saying ‘get ready, it’s about to happen and I will need you to sub for me’. Quigley’s car also seems to have gone missing. A car similar to hers (a 2006 Silver Mercedes C230) has been located but it’s still unclear if it belongs to her.

According to her friends and family, Shirlene Quigley is a successful and responsible dancer as well as beloved teacher. Her career took off when she was featured as a dancer for Beyonce in her music video Crazy in love. In her Youtube page, Quigley is seen dancing with the singer in her live shows. Police say that they do not suspect foul play and will treat this as a missing person case.
