The streaming giant announced that the new season will become available for viewing on March 29th, 2019 and it will surely be full of mystery, gore, and laughs.

The Unique Zombie Comedy Is Back For Binging

Victor Fresco, also known for critically acclaimed series “Better Off Ted,” is the creator Santa Clarita Diet. In the series, Fresco hoped to explore the narcissism of “the undead” through a comedy with a dark twist.

A New Take On Zombies

The show stars Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant who are also executive producers of the show alongside Fresco, Aaron Kaplan, Tracy Katsky, Chris Miller, Ember Truesdell, and Rueben Fleischer.

Netflix

The series follows Joel (Olyphant) and Sheila Hammond (Barrymore) who are typical suburban real estate agents living in Santa Clarita, California with their daughter Abby (Liv Hewson). However, this seemingly normal family has a dark secret.

A Zombie In Suburbia And An Ensuing Mystery

The couple’s otherwise normal life takes a turn when Sheila begins transforming into a zombie. Their marriage, family, and friendships with neighbors only become more complicated as the family works to manage Sheila’s new craving for human flesh all while attempting to uncover the mystery behind her “disease.”

Netflix

It is unknown exactly what adventures the Hammond family will encounter in season three, but we can only expect more drama, blood, and humor as the family continues trying to hide their secrets in this unique and widely loved series.
