You’ll Never Believe Sadie Robertson’s Journey Over The Years

Published

on

In 2012, Sadie Robertson was introduced to the world with Duck Dynasty. The popular A&E series gained her newfound fame, which was highlighted by a Dancing With The Stars appearance in 2014. Even though the show is over, Robertson continues being an inspiration to the youth with her faith. Some major incidents during the last few years helped mold her.

She’s Got The Look

With appearances at New York Fashion Week in 2015, Robertson had dreams of becoming a supermodel. Those dreams, however, quickly turned into nightmares over time. In 2017, she retired from her brief modeling career after several industry people criticized her appearance. “The makeup is the extra. It’s fun, but when it becomes your everything that’s when you begin to lose everything about what makes you…YOU,” she said on Facebook.

Live Original

In 2014, Robertson began her journey as an author with the inspirational book Live Original. She toured the country in 2016 and 2017 in support of this New York Times bestseller. “The tour was absolutely incredible. We were just blown away by the response and the lives changed,” she told CBN News. In 2018, Robertson released her third book titled Live Fearless.

Ready, Set, Action

Outside of Duck Dynasty, Robertson has embarked on an acting career. She made her acting debut in the 2016 film God’s Not Dead 2, which stars Melissa Joan Hart and Jesse Metcalfe. The following year, she appeared in the Lifetime movie Sun, Sand, & Romance. When it comes to Lifetime movies, Robertson feels right at home. “The only movies I think that I could do are Hallmark movies because they’re so encouraging and uplifting. I trust that they’ll make people feel good,” she told TV Insider.

Dating Life

In 2016, Robertson broke up with Blake Coward after two years. She admitted this relationship was filled with problems. “Over time, we welcomed sin in and allowed it to create a wedge between us and God,” she wrote on her blog. Recently, she’s found happiness with Disney star, Austin North. “He’s so sweet. He’s so much fun. He loves the Lord and is passionate about life,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

Fighting A Disorder

While competing on Dancing With The Stars, Robertson started having troubles with an eating disorder. For a long time, she battled with herself over her appearance. Nowadays, she’s 15 pounds heavier than she was on the competition, and she’s fine with that. “I am feeling good. If it means being ‘less beautiful’ in the world’s eyes, that’s okay with me,” she said on her blog.
