These Ryan Reynolds Outtakes Will Make You Love Him Even More

Published

on

When a new DVD or Blu-ray is released, most people go straight to the outtakes. If that’s not you, we’re here to make the case that it should be you with any film featuring Ryan Reynolds. Even if the movie is bad (looking at you, R.I.P.D.) Reynolds’ gag reels are comedy gold. Here are a few blooper reels that make us love Ryan Reynolds even more.

Passing His Testes

National Lampoon’s Van Wilder introduced the wider world to Ryan Reynolds. The blooper reel gave us an idea as to what the young actor was really like behind the scenes. They must have spent an entire day getting him to not laugh around his puppy’s private parts. Even his more serious roles are filled with loveable bloopers.

Mixed Musical Taste

Blade: Trinity director David S. Goyer knows how to use Reynolds. Put him in a scene and let him go. This gag reel lets Ryan list his favorite singers. Clay Aiken, Celine Dion, and even Kenny G. Not his new material, but “the early stuff before he sold out.”

Just Go Fitness

Doing His Duty

Jokes about going #2 usually create some #1 outtakes. Although Just Friends didn’t make it to the top of Ryan’s filmography, we can’t help but laugh at this montage. Reynolds and co-star Amy Smart just can’t keep a straight face.

The next film also proves critically berated movies can be entertaining when the DVD is released.

Jeff Bridges Abides

Who wouldn’t like to see The Dude and Deadpool to star in a buddy cop movie together? According to Rotten Tomatoes, 86% of the critics don’t. However, R.I.P.D.‘s bloopers are worthy of our attention.

No gag reel, however, can make us love Ryan Reynolds more than his behind-the-scenes portrayal of the Regenerating Degenerate.

“Ryan Reynolds Crossed With A Shar-Pei”

In the 2004 comic Deadpool and Cable #2, the Merc With A Mouth took a shot at the actor saying, “Hey, if you looked like Ryan Reynolds crossed with a shar-pei, you’d understand.” Ryan playing Deadpool on the big screen was inevitable. The bonus features are chock-full of hilarious moments that didn’t make the final cut.
