Rupert Grint Says That He Can Only Bare To Watch The First 3 “Harry Potter” Movies

Published

on

Rupert Grint is well known for his role as Ron Weasley in the beloved Harry Potter series. When recently asked about his role in the films, he replied that when watching them he can only make it as far as The Prisoner Of Azkaban. That’s only three movies, Rupert!

The Earlier Ones Were Better

Grint remarked on how the earlier Harry Potter movies were specifically easier for him to watch, saying, “I think those early ones are OK. More time has passed. I can detach myself a bit more from that kid.” He continued on saying that he had recently watched Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone and “actually enjoyed looking back.” Wow, that’s taking it way back!

Grint went on to say that, “But the more recent ones I definitely couldn’t do. I could probably go up to Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban.”

Too Much

Part of Grint’s disillusionment with the latter portion of the Harry Potter series is that his experience of acting in those films was not always the most pleasant. For while Grint enjoyed the roll a great deal early on, it eventually came to take a toll as the fame and exposure of starring in one the biggest movie franchises of its time became overwhelming.

We understand, Potter fans can get a bit crazy!

Moving Forward

While it seems to follow him wherever he goes, Grint has certainly moved on past the Potter series, at least when it comes to his acting career. He has a recent show on BBC1 called The ABC Murders and will be starring in an upcoming Apple series.

It is understandable how Ruper Grint might feel a bit estranged from the later Harry Potter movies. Nevertheless, there is no doubt that he will always be a fan favorite. Go, Rupert!
