Brie Larson received an Academy Award for Best Actress for portraying a young woman who survives a kidnapping in her 2015 film Room. The actress spent six months researching the effects of sexual abuse and confinement. The role allowed Larson to emerge as a powerful voice for sexual assault survivors. She now opposes sexual abuse and has spoken about her own harassment experience. She asked, “When will we start supporting our brave abuse survivors instead of protecting their rapists?”

Jennifer Garner Went Back To Church

When Jennifer Garner moved to Los Angeles, she stopped attending weekly church services because “it wasn’t something that was just part of the culture in the same way,” according to the actress. But following her divorce from Ben Affleck, Garner starred in the religious family film Miracles from Heaven.
