Robert Pattinson Is Blown Away By The Script For Christopher Nolan’s Secret Film

Christopher Nolan has been keeping people on their toes about his upcoming movie. His flick recently got a boost with the addition of Robert Pattinson in the lead role. The Twilight star recently read the script for this film, and he’s completely on board.

Behind Closed Doors

While talking to USA Today, Pattinson discussed working on Nolan’s next big blockbuster. He managed to get a hold of the script, but it was in a peculiar scenario.

“I got locked in a room to read the script – I don’t have it myself. I’ve been a little wary of doing big movies for years and years, but there’s just something about Chris Nolan’s stuff. He seems like the only director now who can do what is essentially a very personal, independent movie that has a huge scale. I read the script and it’s unreal,” Pattison told the publication.

Taking Unique Roles

Since the Twilight Saga ended, Pattinson has been making a name for himself in independent films. For the actor, he loves shocking fans that still see him as Edward Cullen. “I don’t like bombastic performances. I just sort of like convincing people that I’m not what people thought I was initially…It’s psychologically healthy for me as well. Otherwise, if I’m too trapped in myself, then I get really depressed,” he told Indiewire.

Quiet On The Set

Pattinson will be spending the rest of the year working on Nolan’s film. Fortunately, he’ll be in good company with Elizabeth Debicki and John David Washington in the cast. Debicki gained critical acclaim for her performance in 2018’s Widows. MCU fans might recognize her as Ayesha from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Since 2015, Washington has been portraying Ricky Jerret in Ballers. Earlier this year, he earned a Golden Globe nomination for his work in BlacKkKlansman.

The untitled Nolan flick is slated to be released on July 17, 2020.
