Not much is really known about Christopher Nolan’s forthcoming movie for Warner Bros. Fans just know that it’s going to be worth the wait. When it comes to its lead actor, one Twilight star is slated to take the crown.

Nolan And Pattinson Join Forces

Robert Pattinson is in talks to star in Nolan’s upcoming film. Pattinson has been knocking it out of the park since portraying Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga. His performance in The Rover earned him a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the 2014 AACTA Awards.

That same year, he was nominated in the same category for Maps to the Stars at the Canadian Screen Awards.

A Very Good Time

Pattinson’s stock as a lead actor rose with 2017’s Good Time. His work earned him Lead Actor nominations at the Gotham Independent Film Awards and the Spirit Awards. Working with the film’s directors Joshua and Ben Safdie was a major goal.

“After Twilight, I really just wanted to go off and work with heroes, no matter how small the part was. With the Safdies, I’d really put them in the same category as the people I worked with before. Cronenberg, Herzog, and then a line to them. “Now I want to work with you guys.” I mean, what a perfect thing for me,” he told Deadline.

Good Head On His Shoulders

When it comes to his dive into independent films, Pattinson simply wanted to tell a good story. “I’m always plagued with self-doubt, and so I never really make requests of anybody when I’m going into something. I’m like, “Yeah, I’ll dive into your world.” I guess that makes it easier for directors as well. I’ll give whatever power I can give, but after that, I don’t have any demands,” he also told Deadline.

Pattinson will appear in Netflix’s upcoming film The King, which stars Timothée Chalamet and Lily-Rose Depp. He’s currently filming The Devil All the Time with director Antonio Campos.
