First Script For ‘Prison Break’ Season 6 Completed

Published

on

Last year, Fox unexpectedly busted out the fifth season of Prison Break, reviving the outlaw drama after being put away nearly a decade ago. The show is known for its twists and turns. And its creator, Paul T. Scheuring, has delivered another.

Season Six’s First Episode Is Written

After a fifth season that seemed to wrap up its storylines nicely, Scheuring surprised fans by suggesting there was more to come. He tweeted, “If you must know, I finished the 601 script,” thereby confirming the series’ continuation. Earlier this year, the Fox Entertainment President had similarly interesting things to say about the show’s future.

However, what he said worried fans of the show. Essentially, he promised that the show’s upcoming sixth season would be “a new iteration.” The statement alarmed some longtime fans, who felt it suggested a focus beyond the show’s beloved characters.

Stars Align, Stars Return

It would seem those fans had nothing to worry about. Recently, actor Wentworth Miller announced he would soon conclude his time playing The Flash villain Captain Cold. Many speculate he is clearing his schedule for Prison Break. He’s not alone.

Dominic Purcell posted a photo of the Prison Break title screen on Instagram, captioning it “6. In the works.” As a matter of fact, not only do the stars of the show seem set to reprise their roles, but a fan favorite is poised to return.

Another Clash Between The Show’s Most Iconic Characters

Scheuring hints that William Fichtner’s character, FBI agent Alex Mahone, is likely to reappear in the show’s sixth season, citing a “50-150 percent chance.” So, approximately 100 percent.

For a show famous for its insanity and intensity, the promise of eternally-clashing characters returning indicates Prison Break‘s sixth season might be its best yet.
