Prince Harry And Meghan Markle To Wed In Breathtaking 700-Year-Old Chapel

Harry, Prince of Wales, and American actress Meghan Markle made headlines late last year when they announced their engagement. Markle, 36, left her role on the TV drama series Suits to move to the U.K. and begin life as a royal. The couple has received tons of media attention regarding their upcoming nuptials, and new details from Kensington Palace have just been released on where the happy couple will say “I do” on the upcoming May 19th.

The Historic St. George’s Chapel

Located in Windsor Castle, St. George’s Chapel will be the setting for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding ceremony, which begins at 12 p.m. “The ornate gothic chapel,” as described by Inside Edition, is 25 miles from central London. According to reports, 800 guests are to attend.

The Dean Of Windsor Officiating

David Conner, the Dean of Windsor will conduct noon the service, according to a statement from the royal family, while The Archbishop of Canterbury will officiate as Prince Harry and Markle exchange vows. After the one-hour service, the couple will “undertake a Carriage Procession,” to wrap up the event.

Beginning Married Life

Immediately following the ceremony, the newly married couple will “undertake a Carriage Procession from St George’s Chapel through Windsor Town returning to Windsor Castle along the Long Walk,” the royal statement says. The procession is set to being at 1 p.m., promptly after the ceremony has wrapped and the couple has exchanged vows.

Two Receptions

Following the Carriage Procession, a reception will be held at St. George’s Hall for the couple and guests from the congregation, according to Kensington Palace. “Later that evening, The Prince of Wales will give a private evening reception for the couple and their close friends and family,” Inside Edition says.

Positive Public Response

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “looking forward to the day and to being able to share their celebrations with the public,” according to the royal statement. The happy, glamorous couple is also “hugely grateful for the many good wishes they have received since announcing their engagement,” Kensington Palace says.
