Prince Harry Drives 100 Miles to Bring Meghan Markle to Pippa’s Wedding

Prince Harry may have attended the wedding ceremony of royal sister-in-law Pippa Middleton with his brother Prince William but the red-haired royal would not let the occasion end without his girlfriend Meghan Markle. He was reported to have temporarily left the event and proceeded to drive a total of 100 miles to bring Markle to the Engelfield House, Berkshire reception.

The popular “Suits” actress arrived at Heathrow International Airport in London Tuesday to attend the occasion and was reported to have gone straight to Kensington Palace.

Sources say that Markle and Prince Harry made a serious effort not to steal Middleton’s thunder on her wedding day, which is why the couple decided that Markle would just quietly join the reception rather than attend the Church ceremonies.

Prince Harry was present during the ceremonies and stayed a while at the reception before he discreetly excused himself to pick up Markle. The beaming couple arrived at the reception in time to watch the mini airshow of World War II Spitfire, which apparently cost about a million dollars.

E! News noted that while the actress and the prince were spotted on numerous occasions with friends, Pippa’s wedding is the first occasion ever attended by Markle where members of the royal family were present.

Kensington Palace confirmed through an official statement the couple’s relationship in November following condemnation and harassment experienced by Markle on social media after she was linked to Prince Harry.

The statement said, in part, that “Prince Harry is worried about Ms. Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her.”

A couple of months after the admission, rumors start to surface that Prince Harry will undoubtedly get engaged with the American actress. A source told E! News that “Harry is ready to settle down and Meghan feels the same way. They are both in this for the long haul.”

With Meghan attending an event with the royals, the engagement rumors will most certainly not going to die down anytime soon.
