New “Penny Dreadful” Series Brings Adriana Barraza On Board

Published

on

Seasoned actress Adriana Barraza has taken her place in the cast of the upcoming series Penny Dreadful: City of Angels. She is the latest in a string of big names taking on roles in the show and will surely bring her strong talent and experience to the table.

On-Screen Veteran

Barraza has held numerous roles ranging from a part in Marvel’s first Thor film to the television series Cappadocia and 2011’s The Snitch Cartel. She is a versatile actress and undoubtedly her strengths will show in her new character.

With a multitude of successful roles under her belt, Adriana Barraza seems like a great fit for this job.

Stacked Cast

In addition to Barraza, Penny Dreadful will feature the likes of Daniel Zovatto, Natalie Dormer and Nathan Lane. These stars have carved out their own respective fixtures in the Hollywood television circuit and will no doubt be exciting to see act alongside one another.

Lane, in fact, is not only known for his on-screen talent. He has also been cast in a variety of stage plays over the years including The Addams Family and the classic Waiting For Godot. Having an actor that knows the stage, as well as the screen, could prove to be useful to this new series.

Time For A Comeback

Penny Dreadful was taken off air in 2016 after only three seasons. This came as a disappointment to many so Showtime is bringing it back. By the looks at some of the series’ cast, we expect it to be better than ever.

Penny Dreadful: City of Angels is gearing up to be something quite special. With the latest addition of veteran Adriana Barraza to an already strong cast, this reboot will be well worth the watch. Were you a fan of the original series? If so, be sure to tune in for the reboot. It’s sure to be a wild ride!
