Want To Look As Stunning As Meghan Markle? Here Are Her Top Makeup Secrets

Published

on

Following her royal engagement last fall, Meghan Markle has become one of the most talked-about celebrities of our time, with a lot of attention directed to her seemingly effortless beauty. As a former lifestyle blogger and actress, she knows a thing or two about looking her best on and off-camera. The good news is, anyone can learn the secrets behind Markle’s look. Below are Markle’s biggest makeup hacks she uses to look flawless everywhere she goes.

The Controversial Blush She Swears By

Meghan Markle swears by cult beauty staple NARS blush in “Orgasm.” This peachy-pink shade is infused with gold shimmer, which is supposed to be flattering on all skin tones. In an interview with Allure magazine, Meghan said she loves this blush on and off-camera because it gives her a “nice glow from within.” But what’s a good blush without a base?

She’s Obsessed With The Perfect Sponge

Markle, who has evidently been blessed with the skin of angels and mermaids, does not believe in covering her gorgeousness in foundation. However, she says for events that require a little coverage, she only trusts a Beauty Blender makeup sponge. You can use these sponges to apply primer, foundation, liquid bronzer, concealer, and highlighter. Because the sponge is wet during application, you get the glowing finish that Meghan loves. So, how does she get by without foundation or concealer? A good skin care regimen, of course!

She Splurges On Skincare

Meghan believes in taking great care of her skin, so she doesn’t need much makeup. Her favorite skincare products are from the scientifically-based Jan Marini line. Specifically, she loves their glycolic serum, which she says gives her that famous glow. To exfoliate dull skin (and amplify the glow even more!) she uses Tatcha Rice Enzyme Powder.

She Emphasizes Her Eyes

Meghan prefers to keep her face and lips very bare in terms of makeup. However, she does like to play up her eyes. She turns to Diorshow mascara and MAC Teddy eyeliner to bring out the best in her brown peepers. These products help her keep her signature look while adding just enough “oomph” to make her look wide awake. We love her natural, cool-girl style, especially her effortless hair… but is it really effortless?

She Goes For Volume

When it comes to Meghan’s hair, she doesn’t play around. She goes to the top, paying almost $50 for a bottle of hairspray. Her favorite spray, Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray, is used to give her gorgeous raven locks a big dose of volume. She suggests putting your head upside down, spraying it at the roots, and flipping your hair back up for major va-va-voom. After reading her pamper routine, being a royal doesn’t sound too shabby!
