Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka Engagement Rumors Are Not True

Published

on

News surrounding Mariah Carey’s engagement ring is still huge and is likely not to go anywhere anytime soon. But whatever the rumors may speak of, the one thing that’s certain is that Carey and Bryan Tanaka are not engaged. Yes, you heard that right! It’s time to dispel this fake news and see what’s really going on in the life of the American singer/songwriter.

According to an article published by Hollywood Life, Mariah Carey was seen wearing the engagement ring from James Packer even weeks after their relationship ended. In the initial days after the sensational breakup, many fans of the singer were of the opinion that she was still wearing the $ 10 million ring because she was not ready to move on from her previous relationship.

But last Friday, Hollywood Life published a headline saying, “Mariah Carey flashes new ring: Engaged to Bryan Tanaka after James Packer split?” The story accompanying the headline asserted that this may be the fastest rebound anyone has ever seen as the singer was seen wearing a massive sparkler on her left ring finger on December 15.

The news piece further stated that the revelation of the new bling came just weeks after the singer was spotted in some hot and heavy PDA with Bryan Tanaka, her backup dancer. This was less than two months after the revelation came to the forefront that her engagement to James Packer came to an end.

But the news published by Hollywood Life admitted the truth at the end of the third paragraph by stating that the diamond was actually the same one Carey was given by ex James Packer. To put it in simple words, Carey was not wearing a new ring, and there is no evidence to suggest that she is indeed engaged to Tanaka.

From what it seems, Hollywood Life purposefully came out with a half deceptive story about the singer/songwriter being engaged to her backup dancer even though they knew it was wrong. Call it a publicity stunt or a clickbait to get more visits; it worked quite well for the media company to earn them few more minutes of fame.

While the chemistry between Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka may be subtle, it is undeniable in many ways. However, other news outlets did not go as far as to cook up a half true story and reported in a straightforward manner. For now, we can only hope that media webloids stick to reporting only the truth about celebrities and nothing more.
