The Drill Down
Stars And Their Famous Partners

From art and music to fashion and cinema, these incredible stars have accomplished amazing things both on and off-screen. In the midst of the fast-paced Hollywood lifestyle, these celebrities and their famous partners have managed to find and hold on to love. Here are the cutest couples who manage to steal the spotlight, and our hearts, whenever we see them.
1. Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor
Many people think that age is just a number, and nothing proves that adage to be truer than this celebrity couple. American Horror Story staple Sarah Paulson, aged 44, has been with Taylor, 76, for over four years now. In spite of the 32-year age gap, it seems like the two award-winning actresses couldn’t be happier.

Instagram @mssarahcatharinepaulson
Apparently the two had known each other for quite awhile but didn’t start dating until 2015. In an interview on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Paulson recalled how after the two started following each other on social media Holland made the bold move to slide into Paulson’s DMs. However, it turns out this isn’t the only couple who got started with a flirty DM.
2. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka
It’s hard to contain our excitement whenever we see this adorable celebrity couple on the red carpet. Relationship goals doesn’t even begin to describe the pair who met in 2004, after Burtka joined Harris on the hit show How I Met Your Mother.

Since then the two have been inseparable. While they proposed to each other in 2006, they tried to keep it away from the press. After the Marriage Equality Bill was passed in New York in 2011, it seems the two couldn’t contain their excitement and announced their engagement on Twitter. The two lovebirds were married in 2014 and currently have two children together.
3. Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli
The Netflix hit comedy-drama, Orange is the New Black, created a lot of romance on-screen, and apparently also off screen. Samira Wiley, the Emmy-award winning actress who plays Poussey Washington in the fan favorite series, met writer Lauren Morelli while working on set.

Instagram @lomorelli
The two announced their engagement in October 2016 and five months later they were married in beautiful Palm Springs, California. As if to try and top the ceremony, the two flew to Italy for the honeymoon because, as Wiley said in an interview with Brides magazine, “it is such a romantic place and it was…a no brainer!”
4. Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagner
One of Hollywood’s longest lasting couples, Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagner met in 1971 after collaborating on Tomlin’s comedy album and have stuck by each other ever since. To help bring in the historic year of 2014, this adorable celebrity couple planned their wedding on New Years Eve. But that wasn’t the only memorable moment they’ve shared.

Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for People Magazine
The two have collaborated on celebrated pieces like the Tony Award-winning show, The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe. Two albums they worked on together, Modern Scream and On Stage, were even nominated for Grammys. The two are so inseparable that rather than being given two separate stars on the Walk of Fame, they were honored with one star holding both their names. Aww!
5. Zachary Quinto and Miles McMillan
On his spare time between flying around, exploring distant planets, or saving the world in Star Trek and Heroes, Zachary Quinto took the red carpet by storm alongside partner Miles McMillan. Miles, an actor and painter, was also named the Daily Front Row’s “Model of the Year” at the Fashion Media Awards. No wonder these two couldn’t resist each other!

Bruce Glikas/Bruce Glikas/FilmMagic
The couple moved into a Soho apartment in New York together where they were often spotted on the streets walking their three dogs. Sadly, after a six year romance, the two separated in early 2019, but still remain as having been one of the cutest celebrity couples.
6. Jodie Foster and Alexandra Hedison
Academy award-winning actress and director Jodie Foster has become a household name for numerous cinematic works. It stands to reason that it would take the right kind of woman for Foster to tie the knot with. Thankfully for Foster, Alexandra Hedison is that kind of woman.

Stefanie Keenan/Getty Images for Hammer Museum
The former actress, who gave up a successful career to pursue photography, has been featured in art galleries all over the world. This power couple tied the knot in 2014 and remain a sophisticated couple in the celebrity world. Unlike many, they prefer to keep the details of their relationship private, keeping their love to themselves and off of social media.
7. George Takei and Brad Altman
Seems like the only thing flying higher than the U.S.S. Enterprise is the love these two share! These two trekkies were both known for their work on Star Trek, as an actor and writer respectively, but didn’t officially meet until Takei asked Altman to train him for a marathon.

Bobby Bank/WireImage/Getty Images
18 years after a seemingly innocuous question, Takei came out as an openly gay man. Three years later, in 2008, the two were married and made history by becoming the first same-sex couple to apply for a marriage license in West Hollywood. This groundbreaking pair went on The Newlywed Game as the first openly gay couple and subsequently won the $10,000 prize for their charity. It really is inspiring to see these two, and the many more trailblazing celebrity couples coming up!
8. Lance Bass and Michael Turchin
It might sound crazy, but it ain’t no lie that Lance Bass and Michael Turchin are two of the most enviable celebrity couples in Hollywood today! The former NSYNC singer began dating the painter and actor, Michael Turchin, in 2011. Two and a half years later, the couple was ready to get hitched.

Instagram @michaelturchinart
The wedding at LA’s Park Plaza Hotel on December 20, 2014 was a huge event, and most of Bass’ former bandmates were in attendance. The couple’s wedding was filmed and later released by E! in what would become the first time a same-sex couple exchanged vows on cable television. Four years later, the couple decided they were ready to extend their family via surrogate. Best of luck, you two!
9. Sir Elton John and David Furnish
We’ve all heard the fairytale involving a brave knight riding in and stealing the hearts of those around him. That fairytale became a reality for David Furnish when a real live knight came in and swept him off his feet. Okay, so maybe it didn’t happen exactly like that, but the real story is just as romantic.

Daniele Venturelli/Daniele Venturelli/Getty Images
The two began dating in 1993. 12 years later, John proposed to Furnish in during a dinner party with friends. The two lovebirds entered a civil partnership the first day they could be performed in England, and as soon as it became legal for them to marry in 2014, John and Furnish made it official. That marriage also fell on the same day as the ninth anniversary of their civil marriage. Talk about a memorable anniversary for one of the cutest celebrity couples!
10. Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black
What happens when an Olympic medalist meets an Oscar award-winning screenwriter? You get a marriage in a fairytale castle, obviously! That’s right, this couple seemingly decided they needed a location as magnificent as the two of them to tie the knot and they definitely got it. However, nothing beats what the two accomplished leading up to their wedding.

Instagram @dlanceblack
Daley is a British diver specializing in the 10 meter platform event, and by age 15 had already won the FINA World Championship. Three years later, Daley won an Olympic bronze medal. Black is both an LGBTQ activist and an Oscar award winner for his role in writing the 2008 film, Milk. But they’re not the only award-winning pair to compete for the title of cutest celebrity couple!
11. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi
One of the most successful TV personalities, Ellen DeGeneres started as a stand-up comedian and went on to star in numerous movies and shows, host the Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, and Primetime Emmys. She’s launched a successful record company, production company, and lifestyle brand. She’s also won 30 Emmys and, as of May 2019, released episode 3,000 of The Ellen Degeneres Show. As if having such success weren’t enough, she’s also found incredible love.

Instagram @theellenshow
Portia de Rossi is equally funny, having won a Screen Actors Guild Award for her role in Arrested Development. The two were married in August 2008 at a quiet ceremony in their Beverly Hills home and since then have become one of Hollywood’s funniest and most respected couples. So much so that when asked about divorce rumors, de Rossi jokingly commented, “Oh now we’re finally accepted. We get the same sh*t as every celebrity couple.”
12. Ellen Page and Samantha Thomas
When professional dancer and choreographer, Samantha Thomas, checked her personal Instagram account one day, she probably wasn’t expecting to see a message from Juno actress Ellen Page. But, according to an interview with Insider magazine, the award-winning actress slid into her DMs and thus, one of the cutest celebrity couples was born.

Instagram/@ellenpage
Six months after this life changing direct message, the couple married in a lovely woodland setting, dressing down in jeans, fleeces, and tennis shoes. The marriage was kept totally secret and not until the couple revealed photos on Instagram did anyone realize just how serious their relationship was!
13. Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita
Actors Jesse Ferguson and Justin Mikita are no strangers to overcoming the challenges that life can throw. These two strong, capable men were married in Manhattan in July of 2013, no doubt providing each other the support that they both learned after surmounting obstacles.

Instagram @justinmikita
Ferguson, who found success both on Broadway and in the hit sitcom Modern Family, said in an Oprah interview that he had tried to come out to his father numerous times before his father would accept that his son was gay. Mikita, who began acting and later found greater success in law, had been diagnosed with cancer at age 12. Just as Mikita’s parents began preparing for the worst, he abruptly recovered and has been cancer free ever since. These two lucky fellows seem to truly deserve one another.
14. Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird
Most people wouldn’t assume that one of the cutest celebrity couples wouldn’t also happen to be the most athletic. Or the strongest. Or even the most charismatic. But what’s that thing about assumptions making something out of you and me? Well, this couple truly proves that nothing is impossible.

Instagram @mrapinoe
At age 38, Sue Bird has been playing in the WNBA since 2002 while Megan Rapinoe, age 34, just led the women’s team to victory in the last FIFA Women’s World Cup. Combined, these two talented athletes have five Olympic gold medals between them. How did they meet? You might’ve guessed it already. According to an interview with Oprahmag, Rapone “slid into her DMs.”
15. Kendrell Bowman and Anthony Wayne
As another couple who met online, Kendrell Bowman and Anthony Wayne have transformed their romance into a full on business partnership as well. Coming from South Carolina and Kentucky respectively, the two found themselves in the midst of one of America’s biggest cities, New York City, and most likely found comfort and love in each other.

Walter McBride/Getty Images
A mere year after their relationship took off the two began working on their Off-Broadway show Mighty Real: A Fabulous Sylvester Musical. With the various fundraisers and rehearsals that are required for an Off-Broadway New York musical, the two are no doubt incredibly fortunate to have each other for support. So look out Carrie Bradshaw and her various suitors, because there’s a new New York romance in town!
16. Miles Brock and Milan Christopher
In an industry such as rap music, which can often be polarizing, one power couple breaks all expectations. Musicians Miles Brock and Milan Christopher became one of rap’s first openly homosexual couples, releasing hits including “When I Go,” which protests the bullying of LGBTQ youth.

Youtube/DavidDuaneOfficial
The two have also found fame in shows such as Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, being the first openly gay couple to appear, causing quite the uproar with their strong personalities. In addition to TV shows such as The Wendy Williams Show and Nip/Tuck, the two have found acceptance in the rap world with Christopher appearing in music videos with Kanye West, The Game, Lil Wayne, and Ne-Yo. While these two are sadly no longer together, they still manage to remain an inspiration for aspiring rappers everywhere!
17. Adam Lambert and Sauli Koskinen
Nothing screams celebrity couple goals like two of the arguably most talented men finding each other. Sauli Koskinen is not as well-known in the states, but he is an accomplished Finnish television host and entertainment reporter on Fox Finland. His beau however, is far more well known.

Wendell Teodoro/FilmMagic/Getty Images
The actor, singer, and songwriter who has sold three million albums and five million singles worldwide began dating Koskinen in 2010. Sadly, three years later, the two released simultaneous tweets saying that they were calling it quits. The two announced that while they had agreed to split, they wanted to remain friends. At least the breakup was amicable.
18. Tom Ford and Richard Buckley
This sophisticated power couple have been a force in the fashion world together since they first met in 1986. In an interview with Vogue, Ford recalled how it only took one elevator ride for him to realize that Buckley was indeed the man for him. Together the two shot their way into the stratosphere!

Dave Hogan/Getty Images
Ford is famously the owner of his own fashion line after having previously worked as Creative Director for big-name companies like Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent. Additionally, he directed the Academy Award winning films A Single Man and Nocturnal Animals. Buckley has been a contributor to some of the biggest names in fashion, and even served as editor-in-chief for Vogue Hommes International. Talk about success in career and in love!
19. Amber Heard and Tasya van Ree
Tasya van Ree is known as an artist and photographer, while model/actress Amber Heard is a Hollywood staple. A fitting match which likely passed through both their minds when they first started dating. Not long after, the two engaged in a tumultuous and highly publicized relationship.

Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic/Getty Images
Sadly Heard and van Ree ended things in 2012, but it seems like the two manage to still support each other. For one thing, van Ree still has a tattoo of Heard’s name on her arm. In an 2016 interview with The Sun, van Ree described Heard as “brilliant, honest, and beautiful.” It seems that these two are a positive reminder that just because a relationship ends, love and respect don’t have to.
20. Chely Wright and Lauren Blitzer
The country music singer and activist Chely Wright was one of the first major country music artists to publicly come out in 2010 in a bid to educate and create awareness for the gay community. One way Wright came out publicly was through her autobiography, which she started in 2007 and completed in 2010.

Jason LaVeris/Contributor/Getty Images
Soon after in 2011, Wright married Lauren Blitzer, an author and LGBT rights advocate. The ceremony was officiated by both a reverend and rabbi. The couple share identical twins, born to Wright on May 18, 2013. Wright’s 2010 album Lifted Off The Ground shares the same title as a documentary film about her extended coming out journey.
21. Kate McKinnon and Jackie Abbott
Who hasn’t doubled over laughing at one of McKinnon’s impressions on Saturday Night Live? When she’s not impersonating celebrities from Justin Bieber to Hillary Clinton, McKinnon is killing it on the big screen, evidenced by her numerous award nominations. As could be imagined, this happened to catch the eye of someone very special to her.

Bruce Glikas/FilmMagic/Getty Images
Jackie Abbott, while not as well known as her boisterous beau, has never-the-less received acting and writing credits on numerous films. While the two seem to like to keep their love life to themselves, there’s no doubt that one of the cutest celebrity couples couldn’t help but declare their love for each other. It just so happened to be at a drag race hosted by none other than RuPaul.
22. Tig Notaro and Stephanie Allynne
Tig Notaro might be known for her deadpan style of stand-up comedy, but she seems to inspire only the liveliest of emotions in partner Stephanie Allynne. In fact, in an interview with Cosmopolitan, Allynne talked about how before she met Notaro she had never felt attracted to another woman, having previously dated only men. Once she took that leap though, it was a match made in heaven.

Instagram @stephanieallynne
The two met while working together on the set of the 2013 film, In a World… By 2015 the two were ready to tie the knot, and a year after that they welcomed to the world their first child. This unlikely pair definitely makes for one of the cutest celebrity couples and a reminder that love can be found in the unlikeliest of places.
23. Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry
Actress Sara Gilbert and singer-songwriter Linda Perry aren’t letting their ten year age difference get between them. These two talented stars have been dating since 2011, and a year after their 2014 marriage already have a little baby boy to call their own.

Noel Vasquez/Getty Images
Gilbert is recognizable for her role as Darlene Conner on the ’90s sitcom, Roseanne, while Perry was the lead singer and songwriter of rock group 4 Non Blondes. In addition, Perry is responsible for writing numerous hit songs for other artists including “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera, “What Are You Waiting For?” by Gwen Stefani, and “Get the Party Started” by P!nk.
24. Melissa Etheridge and Linda Wallem
We’ve all heard the adage about how friendships can sometimes turn into the best relationships. In this case, it definitely rings true. After singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge found herself at home, alone with four kids, she turned to the one person she knew she could count on, her best friend, Nurse Jackie star Linda Wallem.

Gregg DeGuire/WireImage/Getty Images
In an interview with Access Hollywood, Etheridge recalled how when it happened, it was totally by surprise. Initially she had needed help with her kids but what she hadn’t counted on was the two falling for each other. Eventually the two began dating openly and by 2014, they had exchanged wedding vows.
25. Colton Haynes and Jeff Leatham
Best known for his roles in Teen Wolf and Arrow, Colton Haynes revealed in a 2017 interview with Pink News how, leading up to his first date with Jeff Leatham, he engaged in a bit of internet stalking. This in and of itself is not unusual, yet it takes a confident man to admit as much to the public. No doubt though, he may have been jittery about the man he was about to meet.

Amanda Edwards/WireImage/Getty Images
Jeff Leatham is known for his floral designs which propelled him to fame with his work in Paris, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and Philadelphia. The two were set up by a mutual friend in 2013 and four years later, were getting hitched. Unfortunately it’s likely the busy schedules these two celebrities have took over, and they sadly divorced two years later.
26. Raven-Symone Pearman and AzMarie Livingston
’90s kids will be cheering over this one. Raven-Symone Pearman, best known for her numerous roles on the Disney Channel, but particularly for That’s So Raven, came out on a 2014 interview with Oprah, explaining how she was attracted to both men and women. In spite of trying to keep her love-life on the down-low, Pearman couldn’t help but brag about her beau, actress AzMarie Livingston.

Prince Williams/FilmMagic/Getty Images
The Empire star and Pearman had supposedly been living together since 2012, although due to their famous secrecy nothing is one hundred percent confirmed. Pearman did, however, talk about how she loved binge-watching Empire with her partner. And if that’s not adorable, we don’t know what is. Sadly, after three years, the two decided to end their relationship.
27. Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson
Although actress and model Cara Delevingne is notoriously private about her personal life, she has recently opened up a little more about her blissful relationship with fellow actress Ashley Benson. The two starlets have been together for over a year, and according to Delevingne, Benson is completely unlike anyone she’s ever dated before.

Gotham/GC Images/Getty Images
Delevingne revealed in an interview that prior to meeting Benson she’d always pushed people away, out of fear or lack of trust. But Benson was the first person she felt sure of letting into her life. Since then their relationship just seems to keep getting stronger, and Delevingne has described their love as “sacred.”
28. Kristen Stewart and Stella Maxwell
Given how off-and-on they’ve been over the past few years, it can be hard to keep up with the relationship status of actress Kristen Stewart and Victoria’s Secret model Stella Maxwell. First spotted together in 2017, it was rumored that the two moved in together after only five months of dating.

Marc Piasecki/GC Images/Getty Images
The couple supposedly split sometime in late 2018, but were spotted again together in the summer of 2019. Whether or not they are together at present, based on the way they keep finding their way back to one another it’s easy to wonder whether these two really are meant to be?
29. Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter
It seems like only yesterday that Miley Cyrus was married to longtime love Liam Hemsworth, and Kaitlynn Carter was coupled up with reality star Brody Jenner, but today, Miley and Kaitlynn have left their respective partners, in favor of pairing up together.

Robert Kamau/GC Images/Getty Images
Cyrus announced her separation from Hemsworth after almost a year of marriage, and it was shortly thereafter that photos started appearing online social media of Cyrus and Carter together. According to sources, the two have been inseparable for two months, and are already living together. They say that when you know you’ve found the right one, you just know, and these two sure seem certain!
30. Nico Tortorella and Bethany C. Meyers
While actor Nico Tortorella and body-neutrality advocate Bethany C. Meyers aren’t all that fond of labels, they describe their relationship to others as “queer polyamorous,” and have technically been married for 13 years. Tortorella would consider himself sexually fluid, or pansexual, while Meyers identifies as gay.

Instagram/@bethanycmeyers
Given the less conventional nature of their relationship, the question the couple most frequently face, and the issue they must most often confront, is jealousy. But according to Meyers, “We became polyamorous without ever really trying, and we let each other go so often; I guess we finally realized it’s the reason we are impenetrable. It’s hard to break something that bends.”
31. RuPaul and Georges LeBar
Widely recognized as the Mother of Drag, television personality and producer RuPaul may love the limelight, but longtime love Georges LeBar is happy to let his other half shine in the spotlight, while he hangs back. According to RuPaul, the two meet on the dancefloor at New York City club Limelight, back in 1994.

Instagram/@rupaulofficial
RuPaul recently revealed that the night they might it was LeBar’s birthday, and so after 23 years together, they got married on LeBar’s birthday, their anniversary. While RuPaul spends a lot of time in New York City, LeBar likes to spend his time on his ranch in Wyoming.
32. Cheyenne Jackson and Jason Landau
Together since the fall of 2013, American Horror Story actor Cheyenne Jackson and actor turned entrepreneur Jason Landau were pretty sure they’d found their perfect partner soon after they first announced they were together on their social media accounts. Jackson and Landau were engaged by February 2014, and married in September of that same year.

Instagram/@mrcheyennejackson
Since then, the two welcomed twins, a girl, Willow, and a boy, Ethan. Jackson opened up about life as new fathers, saying that taking care of their twins is “a tired like we have never known,” before adding, “it’s been really amazing, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
33. Gary Janetti and Brad Goreski
Celebrity stylist Brad Goreski has probably been dressing all your favorite stars behind the scenes, like Jessica Alba, Demi Moore, Kaley Cuoco, and so many others. Meanwhile TV producer Gary Janetti has worked behind the scenes on shows like Family Guy and Will & Grace. Together, they are a Hollywood couple made in heaven.

Instagram/@bradgoreski
Janetti and Goreski first met in Athens, Greece, and had been together for 16 years before getting married over the Christmas holiday in 2017 after a three year engagement. The couple were married aboard the luxury cruise ship Seabourn Sojourn in the Caribbean. Today they live between Los Angeles and New York City along with their sweet pup, Penelope.
34. Luke Evans and Victor Turpin
Many celebs are very very cautious when it comes to their personal lives, and keep the details of their love lives under lock and key (so to speak), and Luke Evans is exactly one of those people. The Beauty and the Beast actor doesn’t speak much about who he dates, despite being openly gay as of early in his career.

David M. Benett/Getty Images
Even though he won’t comment on his dating status, photos of Evans with Colombian-American actor Victor Turpin started the rumor mill. Presumably together only a few months, Turpin seemingly confirmed the two were dating with a post on his social media.
35. Ryan Murphy and David Miller
American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy’s personal life is far from an American horror, and more like the American dream. Murphy married professional photographer David Miller in 2012, and only five month later the couple welcomed their first child, a son named Logan Phineas.

Kevin Winter/Getty Images
By 2014 Murphy and Miller became a family of four, with the arrival of their second son, Ford. Little Ford was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer at only two years old, but after a risky surgery and some difficult treatments, Ford has made a remarkable recovery. Today the entire family couldn’t be doing better.
36. Alan Cumming and Grant Shaffer
Scottish-American actor Alan Cumming and American artist Grant Shaffer love each other so much they didn’t just get married once, but twice! The first time the two wed, was in 2007 in London. The ceremony sounded amazing according to celebrity guests like Geri Haliwell (Ginger Spice) and Sir Ian McKellen.

Grant Shaffer/Instagram @granteepants
Still, as residents of New York City, the two wanted to wed in America too – as soon as the law allowed. Five years to the day they got married in London, Cumming and Shaffer had a second ceremony at the Soho Grand Hotel in New York, surrounded by family and friends.
