Was Legion’s First Season All in David’s Head? New Trailer Has Us Confused

Published

on

Eight episodes weren’t enough for Legion. The hit FX show helped bring Professor X’s troubled son David Haller to life, and fans loved it. The next season of the Marvel Television series gets an extension to 10 episodes, and if you’re looking for your first clue at what’s to come, you’re probably going to walk away confused.

A Figment Of Our Imagination

FX unveiled a teaser trailer for season two of the series recently, but instead of showing us some exciting new footage, we get Lenny Busker sitting in a large white chair. Within the first few seconds, the viewer realizes they’re being treated like a patient much like Haller. Things take a turn for the wild when Busker states that everything we saw in those eight episodes never occurred.

Under a red light, she continues to state that it was all a dream. During this moment, quick flashes of scenes from season one flash randomly.

An Incredible Ride

The first season of Legion gained a 90% rating from popular website Rotten Tomatoes. The show was nominated for various awards, including Best Superhero Adaptation Television Series at the Saturn Awards.

Aubrey Plaza, who plays Busker on the show, won the TVLine’s Performer of the Week award for her work in episode six.

The Adventures Ahead

The second season debuts on April 3, and it will take place one year after the events of season one. Joining the show this season is Navid Negahban as the human form of The Shadow King. The role originally went to Wonder Woman actor Saïd Taghmaoui.

If you’re in the mood to watch Legion now, the first season is available for streaming on Hulu. The series was created by Emmy-winning producer Noah Hawley, who is best known for his work on Fargo.
