For eight successful seasons, Real Housewives spinoff Vanderpump Rules was a hit sensation on Bravo. Hostess Lala Kent became the breakout star upon her arrival in season four. While re-watching the show, Kent decided to talk about how different she looks today.
Face To Face
With everyone in quarantine, Kent decided to walk down memory lane. While watching her first appearance on the show, she had to point out her face. “I’ve been watching Season 4 of Vanderpump Rules… and, dude, I have such a little baby face,” Lala stated in an Instagram Story. “I was just so like trying to figure out life in L.A. being on a television show, you know. I look at myself and I’m like, ‘aw little baby Lala.'” Before arriving in L.A., Kent grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Under The Knife
Kent has never shied away from talking about her plastic surgery. “I will say though, I thoroughly enjoy my new face that Dr. [Jason] Diamond provided to me. I love my jaw. I love my little chin. Loving my lips,” she also said in the Instagram Story. Diamond is one of the biggest plastic surgeons in Los Angeles. Many reality show fans know Diamond from his time on E!’s Dr. 90210, which ran for six seasons. Aside from Kent, Diamond has worked with Kim and Kourtney Kardashian.
Looking back, Kent knows how quickly trends come and go with beauty. “That’s how you can tell these days if it’s a throwback show because everybody’s walking around like this. Ye old little thin lips. Now, we’re all like cluck cluck cluck — with our little duck lips. So funny,” Kent also said in her Instagram Story. As the owner of the makeup line Give them Lala, Kent knows a thing or two about lip fillers. Founded in 2018, the makeup line also includes highlighter and eyeliner.
Last Call For Vanderpump
The final season of Vanderpump Rules followed some tense moments for Kent in season seven. In the previous season, Kent’s friendship with James Kennedy dissolved, and she decided to stop drinking. Kent was also still grieving the loss of her father, who passed away before season seven. The last season found some progress made in the broken friendship between Kent and Kennedy. The pair bond over their sobriety issues after Kennedy is caught lashing out at his girlfriend Raquel.
Love At First Sight
Kent and her fiance Randall Emmett went into 2020 knowing they were tying the knot. Unfortunately, the coronavirus epidemic forced them to change their plans. The wedding was scheduled to take place on April 18, 2020 in Newport Beach, California. The wedding was moved to late July. On their planned wedding date, Kent received flowers and a wedding note from Emmett.
The two meet at the SUR restaurant, and Emmett wanted more than food. As a movie producer, Emmett has worked on films such as A Love Song for Bobby Long and 2005’s The Amityville Horror. Emmett was filming The Row, and they wanted a new face on camera. The two exchanged numbers, and they found themselves getting closer while shooting the film. In September 2018, Kent and Emmett got engaged. This will be Emmett’s second marriage following an eight-year marriage to actress Ambyr Childers.
Another Reality Show In The Works?
In late 2019, Bravo revealed The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Being from the city, Kent would be perfect for the show. While no cast has been announced yet, many Vanderpump Rules fans are hoping she’s on the series. Whatever happens, Kent is going to continue living her dream life with her soon-to-be husband and booming career.
