The Heartwarming Reason Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard Cried On Dax’s Birthday

A wise person once said, “It’s my party, and I’ll cry if I want to.” Birthdays can be a complete pain for some people. The thought of growing old will make individuals hide under the blanket. For one actor, his birthday was filled with some much-needed emotion.

Back To School

Born on January 2, 1975, Dax Shepard found memorable roles in MTV’s Punk’d and NBC’s Parenthood. Easily his most important role is husband to actress Kristen Bell and father to their two daughters.

Recently, he spent his 44th birthday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show along with his wife. As expected, one major hardship of his birthday as a kid involved school“It’s traditionally when you go back to school as a kid. It’s like, ‘Happy birthday! Go to school!’ And then when you get there, there was a big break. So, when they read the happy birthdays over the loud speaker, you’re among like 30 people who had birthdays. Nothing special,” he said.

A Yearly Tradition

Before his birthday, Shepard’s mother does something that might seem a bit strange. She tells him the story of how he came into the world. This time around, Kristen was around to hear the tale.

“It was happening last night, and Kristen was listening to the story and also she got her first labor pain at 11:30 watching Johnny Carson, and then I was in her arms at 1:15 a.m. And Kristen was like, ‘Hold on a second! You’re saying from your first labor pain to holding the baby was an hour and 40 minutes?’ She was like, ‘Yes,'” Shepard said.

Nothing But Tears

During the show, Bell decided to ask Shepard an important question. “What would you recommend getting someone very special, like a spouse, for their birthday? Or how would you spoil them on their birthday?,” she asked. With tears in his eyes, Shepard replied, “I would say please, please, please give that person love and support for 11 years. Give them two beautiful baby girls— and you’re good.”

Bell couldn’t help but feel emotional during that moment. The Good Place actress stated, “You’re crying, too!” In a long relationship, having a good cry together is comforting for the soul.
