As public as her life is, Kim Kardashian-West has been very private when it comes to showing her home. In fact, she barely films her hit show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, there (outside of maybe her living room). However, in a surprise move, the reality star and entrepreneur gave fans an exclusive look inside her impressive mansion in a special interview with Vogue.

Opening Up

Kardashian-West recently was a part of the magazine’s popular “73 Questions” video series (and was Vogue‘s cover star for their May 2019 issue). During the recording, she talked about everything from marriage and parenthood to her famous derriere.

Husband Kanye West and the couple’s three kids— North, Saint, and Chicago, were seen throughout the video, showcasing their love and playfulness as a family. The couple chimed in on questions often together, offering more insight into the Wests. And all of this was shot inside the family’s incredible, $60 million house.

First Look

In the video, Kardashian West took the crew around the lavish home in Hidden Hills, CA, which she describes as a “minimal monastery.” She and her husband worked with Belgian architect Axel Vervoordt to remodel the home, which, with its all-white theme, is reminiscent of a church.

After living with mom Kris Jenner for a time, the couple moved into the home on December 2017. Kardashian West loves the aesthetic of her home but admits it’s difficult to keep clean with three young kids. “Oh my God. I run around the house with towel,” she revealed to Architectural Digest. “You just have to take a deep breath and say, ‘Ok, it’s going to happen. We decided to have light colors.’”

Family First

Though she loves her career, the reality star is very much focused on being a great mom to her kids. When asked about parenting advice for other moms, Kardashian West stated, “I would just say you have to wing it. My sisters and I are on a group chat always getting parenting advice.” Kanye chimed in, “But they don’t get advice from me. Can I get on that chat please?”

The mom is expecting her fourth child, a boy, arriving soon by a surrogate, something that she’s semi-stressing out about but mostly excited for. She also revealed that the baby’s name would not be another direction like North.
