Keeping Up With The Kardashians Production Put On Hold Following Paris Robbery

A week after Kim Kardashian was robbed of millions of dollars worth of jewelry in a luxury Paris hotel, E! has temporarily shut down production of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. But it is unclear for how long.

The move, it appears, has much to do with allowing the star to heal following the ordeal. A spokesperson for the TV star told reporters that Kardashian well-being is the primary focus and that no decision has been made as to when filming will resume.

On October 3rd, the reality star, 37, was robbed at gunpoint by a group of five men who stormed the luxury apartment where she had been staying. The gunmen, who are said to have posed as police, forced the hotel’s night guard to take them to her room.

According to her representative, the star was physically unharmed but was left shaken and terrified. The spokesperson said armed masked men dressed as police officers forced their way into Kardashian’s hotel room and robbed her at gunpoint.

The representative did not give further details, nor did he say whether the incident was a normal robbery or had other motives. No arrests have been made so far, although the French authorities are continuing with their investigations.

E! did not comment on whether the network was filming the show in Paris at the time of the robbery but said the cameras were not present during the robbery. Kardashian was in the French capital with her sisters for Paris Fashion Week. No other family member was in her company at the time of the robbery.

Kardashian’s husband Kanye West was informed about the incident during his concert in New York, and ended his show in to tend to his wife. The couple then left for the United State soon after the terrifying incident and has kept a low profile since the frightening incident.

Season 12 is set to air in October 23, but given the fact that Keeping up with the Kardashians was renewed in 2015 for another 3 years, it is not clear how this is going affect future seasons of the show. It’s unclear which season was currently filming when the network put the production on ice. The show has aired on the E! Network since October 14, 2007.

What happened in Paris has affected the whole Kardashian family. As well as practically abandoning their social network accounts, the entire family has been calling off public appearances. Khloe, Kylie and Kendall had book signings scheduled this week, but decide to cancel them.
