Justin And Hailey Bieber Played ‘The Notebook’ For Guests (And More Wedding Details)

This week, all eyes have been on Justin and Hailey Bieber’s wedding. Although the celebrity couple technically tied the knot last year at a New York City courthouse, the pair hosted their official wedding ceremony at a luxury resort in South Carolina on Monday. Among the many wedding festivities was a screening of The Notebook.

Bieber Wedding Festivities Included Movie and Water Guns

According to reports, the Biebers’ wedding weekend was attended by a star-studded guest list. Attendees included Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Ed Sheeran, Travis Scott, Jaden Smith, and many more. Also in attendance were the bride’s famous father and uncle, Stephen and Alex Baldwin.

The wedding took place at the Montage Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina. Sunday night, paparazzi photos began to surface of guests arriving at the resort by water taxi. Bieber was photographed wearing a collared shirt, black pants, and loafers, while his wife was wearing a strapless white mini dress complete with Jimmy Choo heels.

The two have gone above and beyond to keep the details of the wedding events under wraps. However, TMZ and similar outlets have been able to uncover some interesting details. One detail gaining attention is the movie they played for guests. Sources say that after the rehearsal dinner on Sunday night, the two hosted a sleepover-style movie night, where they screened one of their favorite movies, The Notebook, and served candy, popcorn, and ice cream.

“There were beanbags and pillows set up on the ground in front of a large movie screen with a stage near it,” sources told ET.

Reportedly, after the movie was over, they surprised everyone with a water-gun fight. Sources also say that the rehearsal dinner was at a bowling alley to recreate where the couple first met.

A Romantic Night To Remember

It’s been three years since Justin and Hailey first sparked relationship rumors. Since then, the two have been on and off. Justin also had a public, on-and-off-again relationship with singer Selena Gomez. However, following their most recent split, Justin and Hailey started dating again and shortly after got engaged.

The official wedding ceremony was planned by the famous celebrity event planner Mandy Weiss. Although many fans were eager to catch a glimpse of Hailey’s wedding gown, she took strategic measures to ensure that it wouldn’t be easy. The bride was photographed by helicopters walking underneath a concealed tent to the chapel.

However, since the wedding ceremony and reception, celebrity guests have begun sharing some photographs taken at the event. Many of these have been black and white portraits taken by Canadian portrait photographer, The Collective You. Although the pair gave very few details away on their social media, Bieber did share a picture of a wedding gift he got himself, an Audemars Royal Oak watch.

While we don’t yet know exactly what Hailey’s dress looked like, sources told E! that the bride changed into a long, high-neck dress and removed her veil before entering the reception. The source also went on to say that the reception looked like a fairy-tale and was decorated “like an enchanted forest with candles in crystal holders, white twinkle lights and purple lavender flowers hanging from the trees above.”

Post-Wedding Photos

TMZ recently shared the first photos seen of the newlyweds during the reception. The two look happy on the dance floor. Sources also said Bieber, at one point, took the microphone for a brief performance.

Since Monday, both Hailey and Justin have taken to social media to share some of the pictures captured in the photo booth. In one, Bieber is donning a diamond-studded grill. We’re sure the black and white portraits and paparazzi photos are only a taste of what’s to come.
