It’s hard not to be obsessed with Chip and Joanna Gaines. They seem to be perfect at everything they do, including raising adorable children. In April 2019, Joanna shared new photographs of their youngest son, Crew, and we can’t get enough of them. He’s a true member of the Gaines family.
Inspiring Us With ‘Fixer Upper’
Chip and Joanna Gaines dominated HGTV with their popular home and design show, Fixer Upper. Fans fell in love with Joanna’s modern farmhouse designs (hello, shiplap!), Chip’s crazy antics, and their unwavering commitment to each other and their children. The Gaines inspired millions of viewers to redesign their own homes, develop a love of gardening, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
So, when the couple announced in 2017 that they were ending Fixer Upper, fans were disappointed with the news. While the Gaines still run their popular Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas, the Magnolia Home line, The Magnolia Journal, and other operations, fans knew they would miss seeing their favorite couple on a weekly basis. But thanks to social media, fans can stay up-to-date on the Gaines family, including their special addition last year.
Adding Another Family Member To The ‘Crew’
In December 2017, the Gaines announced they were expecting their fifth child. In June 2018, they welcomed Crew Gaines to join his older siblings: Drake, Duke, Ella, and Emmie. Since then, the Gaines have shared photographs of their growing family on social media. Fans can’t get enough of the adorable family.
Crew Gaines seems to fit in well with his family. He’s inheriting his parents’ love for the outdoors, gardening, and enjoying the simple life. But just in case you want to know more about him, Joanna is always eager to share exciting updates on her youngest child on social media.
Sharing Him With The World
Crew Gaines is still too young to understand fruits and vegetables, but that doesn’t stop him from playing in a garden with his siblings. Over the Easter holiday weekend, the Gaines family spent time in their home garden, picking carrots to perhaps use for a later meal. Joanna shared the photos on her Instagram page, and it looks like Crew was happy to help his family with the carrots, at least to the best of his ability.
Joanna also occasionally shares videos of Crew on her Instagram page. In March 2019, Joanna released a new children’s book, We Are the Gardeners. On its release day, Joanna visited a Barnes & Noble bookstore for a book launch and gave an impromptu reading to one visitor — Crew! However, it doesn’t seem like he was paying too much attention to the story. At least he applauded for his mother.
In another video, Joanna and Crew are busy walking around Magnolia Market. Crew was fascinated with a large microphone from part of the production crew for a project (the Gaines are always up to something). His smile is contagious. You can’t get enough of it.

One of my favorite moments with Crew during the spring install at the shop! You can now watch the video (it’s one of my favorites!) to see how our amazing team made this beautiful season come to life inside the market. Check it out at magnolia.com/blog. @magnolia #authenticity
We hope as long as Joanna Gaines is on social media, she’ll continue to share videos and pictures of her adorable family. Crew is growing up quickly (too quickly, according to Chip and Joanna), but no matter what Joanna shares, we know it’s going to make us smile.
Onto Other Projects
The Gaines family are always starting a new project, including an upcoming television network with Discovery in 2020. The currently untitled network will focus on design and renovation, cooking, gardening, wellness, community, entrepreneurialism, family, and more. While we don’t know if the Gaines will have their own show on this network, we’re excited to see more of the family in whatever way possible. No matter what they’re doing, we’re ready to participate in every adventure along the way.
