Jennifer Lawrence Lives A Surprisingly Frugal Lifestyle

Jennifer

Jennifer Lawrence is one of the top-paid actresses in America. While she may be able to afford a luxurious lifestyle, but she doesn’t live one. Here is how the American icon spends her millions:

J-Law Is One Of The Highest-Paid Women In Hollywood

Jennifer Lawrence is not only a celebrity icon, more wealthy than many would imagine. Most actors and actresses have pretty high salaries, but for a professional her age, Lawrence makes a surprising figure. Her role as Katniss Everdeen holds a Guinness World Record for the highest-grossing action heroine of all time. She has starred in 14 feature films after her premiere in The Hunger Games as well as a handful of television performances, each of which has received critical acclaim. Because of her high reputation, Lawrence is able to leverage for a much higher paycheck than most women in Hollywood. Today, J-Law is reportedly worth over $130 million. In comparison, Scarlett Johansson (the highest-paid actress of 2019) is worth an estimated $165 million. Lawrence may one day reach that level, as Johansson’s career spans ten years longer than Lawrence’s.

Lawrence’s Frugal Attitude After Fame

Despite J-Law’s financial stability, she says she still doesn’t feel comfortable flaunting her cash or using it for frivolous spending. In an interview with Fabulous magazine, she said, “I was raised to have value for money, to have respect for money, even though you have a lot of it.” This attitude translates into the way she budgets her large expenses as well as small purchases. She went on to say, “That’s why mini-bars are difficult, because it’s like yes, I can afford a $6 Snickers bar, but there’s just something wrong with that!” Lawrence grew up in a modest household, being raised by a construction worker and summer camp manager. Rather than spending her childhood in the country club, she played sports and helped out at her mother’s camp. It wasn’t until she dropped out of school to pursue acting in New York that she got a taste for the life of the rich and famous. She still holds onto her traditional values when it comes to finances, making her an excellent role model for young people. Unlike many celebrities who lose touch with their fanbase after receiving fame and recognition, Lawrence still has the same genuine presence and kindness to her.

Lawrence Never Spends On Clothing, New Cars Or Unnecessary Expenses

Lawrence may have millions in her bank account, but her daily life doesn’t show it. She is currently a model for French couture designer Dior, yet still has a limited closet due to her lack of interest in fashion. In her interview with Fabulous magazine, Lawrence mentioned, “I’ve hated shopping my entire life… My mom used to drive me to TJ Maxx and I would almost faint out of boredom.” J-Law has been spotted in public many times wearing affordable fashion, including her Reebok Freestyle Hi sneakers, priced on Amazon for around $60. Lawrence hasn’t upgraded her ride either. In her interview, Lawrence told Fabulous, “I still drive my same car I’ve been driving for a long time and I haven’t bought a house yet.” She reportedly drives a Chevrolet Volt, a modest hybrid vehicle worth around $20,000 today. SInce J-Law recently married art dealer Cooke Maroney, she may start looking for a home for the two in Los Angeles soon. However, based on her frugal stance on other expenditures, they will likely opt for something simplistic and affordable. You can see Lawrence in action in her next big project with Lila Neugebauer, or enjoy her latest performance in Dark Phoenix.
