Can Hulk Defeat Thanos In ‘Avengers: End Game’?

Published

on

In Avengers: Infinity War fans were shocked by the end, where Mad Titan Thanos destroys half of the universe, a feat no one thought was possible. The opening scene sets up for the ending with a fight pitting Thanos against the Avenger’s strongest fighter, The Hulk. Though the Hulk was defeated in Infinity War, fans are hoping he will make a comeback in Avengers: Endgame.

Why Infinity War Opening Scene Was So Important

Marvel has been building up the Thanos storyline for years. He has been scouring the universe to unite all six Infinity Stones, in a quest to destroy half the universe and restore balance to it.

For a long time, this was a hollow threat which no one was truly worried about. But by the end of Infinity War, fans and the Avengers realized they couldn’t brush off Thanos anymore. He proved himself at the beginning of the movie by easily defeating Hulk, which foreshadowed a much bigger takeover by the end.

Thanos Fights Smarter, Not Harder

In the opening fight scene of Infinity War, Thanos swiftly beats Hulk without using the Infinity Gauntlet (which Marvel confirmed). The Avengers didn’t think anyone could beat the Hulk, but it takes more than sheer strength to beat the Titan.

The biggest reason that Hulk was so easily defeated is that Thanos was able to outsmart him. Hulk wasn’t strategic with his decisions, and Thanos was able to easily thwart him with a few precise blows.

Will Hulk And Banner Unite To Defeat The Mad Titan?

If you remember in Thor: Ragnarok, The Hulk takes over over Bruce Banner’s body several years, which has caused some tension between the two ever since. However, with Thanos putting much bigger problems on everyone’s plate, there’s a chance Banner and The Hulk will reunite to defeat him.

Hulk has the strength, and Banner has the cunning. Together there may be hope for them to defeat the Mad Titan and restore the Marvel Universe.
