How Exactly Can The X-Men Arrive In The MCU?

Ever since the Fox/Disney merger took place, MCU fans have wondered about the X-Men. After a slew of Fox movies, many want them to have their rightful place with Marvel Studios. Now, there are some interesting rumors about how they could bring them in.
Wiz Kid In Shang-Chi?
Earlier this year, rumors of Wiz Kid appearing in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings surfaced. In comic books, Wiz Kid, whose real name is Takashi “Taki” Matsuya, debuted in 1988 as a member of the X-Terminators. The team was formed by fellow mutant group X-Factor. Wiz Kid has the ability to psionically transform inanimate objects such as metal and glass to his liking. After leaving the X-Terminators, Wiz Kid joined The New Mutants and Avengers Academy. With The New Mutants film constantly moving, there’s no word if Wiz Kid was in the cards for a potential sequel.
Wiz Kid’s appearance would also be big for disabled representation in the MCU. In the books, the character is bound to a wheelchair like Professor X. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is slated for a May 7, 2021 release. The coronavirus epidemic, which temporarily shut down the film’s production, could possibly shift its release date.
Madripoor In “Falcon & Winter Soldier”
Set photos from Falcon & Winter Soldier showcase the heroes heading to Madripoor. In the books, Madripoor has a major connection to Wolverine. The island was a focal point in Wolverine’s solo series back in 1988. In the 2018 Hunt for Wolverine storyline, the X-Men arrived at the island to investigate Wolverine’s resurrection. Madripoor was also a hideout for the X-Men Blue team. Falcon & Winter Soldier will debut on Disney+ in August.
Wolverine And Storm In “Black Panther 2”?
Noted MCU leaker Roger Wardell recently stated Wolverine might show up in Black Panther 2. “MCU is way more dangerous place for Wolverine than you might think. Logan receives his combat nanosuit thanks to Shuri and Antarctic Vibranium,” Wardell stated on Twitter. Having Wolverine make an appearance in Black Panther 2 would be an exciting move. One issue surrounding this tweet, however, involves Antarctic vibranium. This metal has the power to completely dissolve Wolverine’s vibranium skeleton.
Storm is also rumored to appear in the Black Panther sequel. For Marvel Comics fans, this is the perfect setting. Storm and Black Panther were a power couple in the comic books. Black Panther met Storm when she was an orphan before they became an item. The pair broke up because Black Panther wanted to avenge his father’s death. Over the years, they had an on-and-off relationship. During the Civil War storyline, the two became married. Their relationship couldn’t last forever, though. In the X-Men vs. Avengers storyline, Black Panther annulled their marriage after five years together. As a member of the Avengers, Black Panther wasn’t happy with Storm choosing to side with the X-Men. This means Storm can either come in the MCU as a new love interest or a former flame. Black Panther 2 is slated for a May 6, 2022 release.

X-Men Team Officially Revealed?
While folks are used to the Fox X-Men team, the MCU team will reportedly be different. The Cosmic Wonder stated the MCU team is rumored to be Sunfire, Thunderbird, Havok, Cyclops, Marvel Girl (Jean Grey), and Storm.
One key standout in the list is Thunderbird. In comic books, two brothers used the alias. John Proudstar’s time as Thunderbird ended quickly after they were killed in the X-Men’s second mission. His brother James used the Thunderbird alias for a short time following their death. John made their live-action debut in the Fox series The Gifted. The character, who led the Mutant Underground, was portrayed by Blair Redford. Under the alias Warpath, James made their live-action debut in 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Another interesting note is Jean Grey reportedly using her Marvel Girl codename. This is a major throwback to the character’s debut in 1963’s The X-Men #1. Grey dropped the codename during The Dark Phoenix Saga. Fox delivered two movies based on this iconic storyline, which means the MCU could simply ignore it.
