Everything We Know About ‘House Of Cards’ Season 6

Published

on

The final season of the uber-popular House of Cards is on the way. And it seems miraculous that it is, too. Kevin Spacey’s sexual misconduct allegations and his subsequent firing from the show cast doubt in the minds of fans as to whether or not the show would be returning. But it is, and here’s everything that we know about the sixth season.

Claire Underwood Takes Over

We received our first look at the final season at the 90th academy awards. The main takeaway from the teaser? Robin Wright’s Claire Underwood is taking charge of the Oval Office. The way last season ended, this doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Wright will be joined with some familiar faces for the final season.

The Returning Cast

Fans can rest assured that many of their favorite characters will be back in action for the sixth season. Set to return are Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson, Michael Kelly, Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil, Campbell Scott and Boris McGiver. Along with them will be a fresh batch of new faces, consisting of seasoned vets and actors on the rise.

What Happens To Frank Underwood?

Kevin Spacey’s firing leaves us with the obvious question: What about Frank Underwood? Although we don’t know whether he’ll get killed off or exit some other way, we do know that Frank Underwood will be leaving the show. It looks like fans have quite a bit of time to speculate though.

Release Date

Unfortunately, we don’t have an exact release date as of yet. But thanks to the teaser, we do know that the show will return this fall. While we’re hoping that it will be released sooner rather than later, it would be appropriate if it were released on Election Weekend.
