Hilary Duff Dishes On The Difficulties Of Raising Two Children

Published

on

Raising kids can be a bit difficult for some people. Fortunately, the good memories make up for finding the perfect school clothes or picking kids up from practice. Actress and singer, Hilary Duff, spoke out about the trials and tribulations of taking care of her lovely children.

A Mother’s Intuition

Last October, Hilary Duff expanded her family with the birth of her daughter, Banks Violet Bair. With two children now, Duff has a bit more to juggle at home.

On Instagram, she talked about having to make sure both kids were okay. “This is the first day I had two kids on my own on a school morning. Breastfeeding and making breakfast, getting 2 kids and myself dressed and packed and out the door while tripping over 4 dogs and feeding the damn fish was not easy. But I did it. And I’m proud of myself,” she said.

Shoutout To The Moms

Hilary’s experience made her appreciate motherhood a bit more. “I’m proud of every mom out there who MAKES IT FREAKIN HAPPEN. All day! Everyday! You are the s**t! Badass, super goddess, world taker [overs] and you deserved to be praised,” she said.

Of course, the day didn’t go without its laughable moments. “I even got 5 minutes to do some makeup….. then turned around to see Luca had used my lipstick as warrior paint on his face,” Duff said. As expected, boyfriend Matthew Koma, who is Luca’s father, showed support for Duff’s message. “Best mom on earth,” he replied.

A Mother’s Love

Hilary’s situation with children is different from her sister Haylie. With a six-year gap, things are a bit smoother. In Haylie’s situation, her oldest child Ryan is only three. “Luca is old enough to help himself into bed, whereas Ryan can’t do those things. Luca is really loving his independence now,” Haylie told Us Weekly.

With the way she handled things, Hilary won’t have troubles giving Banks and Luca all of the attention.
