Guy Wears the Cone of Shame so His Neutered Cat Won’t Be Embarrassed

Published

Rengar is an ordinary cat with an awesome “dad”. He loves to hang around his dad, and they love to do everything together. From taking power naps to playing video games and even just goofing around, they always hang around each other. But now that he is freshly neutered, he has to wear the dreaded cone of shame. To save him from getting embarrassed, his dad decided to wear one as well.

When Rengar  turned 6 months old, it was time for him to get neutered, which meant he’d have to wear an e-collar, also known as the cone of shame. Now the cone of shame is a contraption most pets would rather not have to wear one, however, it is necessary so that they won’t be able to lick or scratch their wounds after a procedure. So unfortunately for Rengar, he was forced to wear one.

At first his dad did everything to make him comfortable, but to no avail. Rengar was still feeling uneasy with the cone around his neck. In a picture sent in by Sarah Proctor to a website, Rengar and his dad are really close and it’s easy enough to understand that his dad would do anything to make him feel better.

But what his dad did next was out of the ordinary… The guy went in to his workstation and came back after a few minutes, and what he brought with him surprised Rengar. Lo and behold, he made a human sized e-collar and wore it around his neck.

According to Proctor “Rengar was confused at first, then when he realized his dad was also wearing the ‘cone of shame,’ was more comfortable.”

It took a little while before Rengar the cat could fully understand what was going on, but then he realized that his dad was also wearing the same collar as him. After realizing that his dad was wearing it as well, he soon figured that it was okay to wear the collar. After all, they do things together, and that’s how it is going to be until forever.
