Cue The Tears: Grey’s Anatomy End Is Near

Published

on

Grey’s Anatomy fans have been through it all: the romantic love stories, tragic deaths, and unbelievable surgeries. Going into its fifteenth season this fall, Grey’s is the second-longest scripted primetime show on ABC. However, Grey’s star Ellen Pompeo says the show is coming to an end sooner than we think…

Time To Say Goodbye?

The series’ showrunner, Shonda Rhimes has been vocal about the fact that Grey’s will continue to air as long as ABC and Ellen herself are up for it. Because, sure, the show has gone on without some major characters, but how could Grey’s Anatomy survive without Meredith Grey?

Vanity Fair

After 14 years, Ellen is finally thinking about the inevitable end. She admitted to Us Weekly that the show’s series finale is coming around the bend. However, the cast and crew are taking things one season at a time. “We’re getting there,” she revealed to Us Weekly. “Shonda and I will make that decision together.” Of course, the show’s storyline for the main character isn’t the only reason Ellen wants to eventually move on.

A More Important Role

Ellen obviously has had a successful career at Grey’s, but still a very busy one. Because of her hectic schedule, she misses out on being with the ones who love her most: her family.

The actress eventually wants to move on from Grey’s to spend more time with her loved ones, especially her three young children. “I want to be more involved in my kids’ lives as they get older,” she said in an interview. “And they need me more, and this world is such a crazy place.” Although she will eventually move on from Grey’s, she will continue doing some work in the entertainment industry.

Life After The Show

Ellen doesn’t know for sure if she’ll give up acting after Grey’s, but she does have another plan in mind. She loves producing, calling it, “a great experiment in problem-solving.” With acting, there’s a lot of long hours and traveling. Sticking to other projects may just give her more time to be with her family.

But don’t fret Grey’s fans. Although the show will eventually come to an end, it might have at least a few years left. Ellen herself has renewed her contract through seasons 15 and 16. So the final episode of Grey’s Anatomy isn’t set in stone just yet!

Beverly Hills, 90210: Was Luke Perry Team Dylan or Team Brandon?

Some television shows come into our lives at the exact right moment, so that they become inextricably bound with our memories of those complicated coming-of-age years, Beverly Hills 90210 is without a doubt one of those shows. We all tuned in week after week, year after year because the drama was just so addicting. The love triangles! The will-they-won’t-theys! Meanwhile, when the cameras weren’t rolling, the cast was up to plenty of off-set antics of their own. Disclaimer: after you read about what went down, it might have you rethinking everything — were those angsty expressions just good acting, or were they bringing some real-life drama into it?
