Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted has been a great success for both Ramsay and National Geographic. They have eight episodes filmed and plan to release them between July 21st and August 25th. The premiere went viral on Twitter, with plenty of positive responses from around the world. Viewers learned about the many different cultural cuisines and got to watch Ramsay climb mountainsides to talk about the native produce and ways of life for those in the food and farming industries. One of the dishes he sampled, however, did not sit well for many American fans. While in Peru, Ramsay sampled a roasted guinea pig. The fuzzy rodents are a staple in Peru; however, most Americans see guinea pigs as strictly pets. As much as Gordon Ramsay may wish to serve this dish in his restaurants, he has received significant backlash from American fans.
