‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Maisie Williams Gets Perfect Tribute Tattoo

Game of Thrones, one of HBO’s most popular shows of all time, is coming to a bittersweet end in 2019. Since filming the last episodes, many of the cast members on the show have posted farewells to the show on social media, and some teasers of what the final season might entail. Now Maisie Williams, the actress who plays Arya Stark, is going for a completely different type of commemorative piece. Recently, she posted on her Instagram story the sketch of a new tattoo, a tribute to her character as the series finale inches ever closer to airing.

Williams’ Journey as Arya Stark

Arya Stark is a fearless young girl, whose talents of swordsmanship and horseback riding make her stand out among other women of Winterfell. After witnessing the deaths of too many of her family members, she embarks on a mission to avenge them at all costs. She apprentices under Jaqen H’ghar, leader of the Faceless Men of Braavos. These skilled assassins are trained to let go of their egos and selfish desires in order to obtain ultimate goals.

The Faceless Men of Braavos undergo strict training from Jaqen H’ghar. When asked to describe themselves, they claim to be “no one,” as they have relinquished their individual identities to become The Faceless Men.

No One Could’ve Picked a Better Tattoo to Honor Arya

Maisie Williams posted a sketch of the phrase “No One” on her Instagram, a reference to her character’s identity as one of the Faceless Men. This simple yet powerful design is a fan favorite, as it reflects Arya’s power, endurance, and fortitude throughout the show.

“No One” is inked on her upper back, just below her neck in a clear, red font. This tattoo matches a “little rascal” tattoo she got on her arm the same day.

“No One” is not the only Game of Thrones tattoo Williams has. Both she and costar Sophie Turner, who plays Arya’s sister on the show, got matching “07.08.09” tattoos, commemorating the date they were both hired to be on the show.
