First Look at Game Of Thrones Season 8

Published

on

With the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones releasing in less than six months, its no surprise fans are chomping at the bit for new spoilers. So, when Entertainment Weekly featured an exclusive on the HBO show, rumors started to spread fast. Entertainment Weekly has released the very first photo from the set, and it’s juicy.

A Budding (And Scandalous) Romance Between Dany And Jon

The magazine shows a photo of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) huddled next to Jon Snow (Kit Harington). This comes as no surprise since the seventh season ends with their steamy union. However, fans are wondering when Jon will realize Daenerys is more than just his babe.

Entertainment Weekly

It’s reasonable to guess that somewhere down the line in season 8 Jon will learn that he is not actually the bastard child to Ned Stark, but rather the son of Rheagar Targaryen, Dany’s older brother. Fans are excited to see what happens with their love affair when Jon finds out.

The Final Episodes Are Going To Be Bloody

Season 8 of GoT is going to be an epic saga of only six episodes. Co-executive producer Bryan Cogman commented that the last six episodes are “about all of these disparate characters coming together to face a common enemy, dealing with their own past, and defining the person they want to be in the face of certain death.”

Hollywood Reporter

The show producers also told fans that they can expect a bloody battle between the humans and the Army of the Dead, even mightier than the Battle of the Bastards in season 6. Assistant director Jonathan Quinlan talked about the battle episode on Instagram, captioning a photo: “55 consecutive nights. 11 weeks. 3 locations. You’ll never again see anything like it.”

Not The First Photo Leaked From Season Eight

Since the show’s filming has wrapped up, many of the cast members have been saying their goodbyes on social media. Maisie Williams posted this photo on Instagram, captioning it: “goodbye belfast. goodbye arya. goodbye game of thrones. what a joy i’ve had. here’s to the adventures to come.”

This photo of her bloody shoes may hint that Arya will see a bloody end in season eight, or that she will become an even greater hero in the final battle. Only time will tell how this HBO masterpiece will actually end for our beloved characters.
