Fast and the Furious

For Fast and the Furious fans, Furious 7 was a tough pill to swallow. The 2015 film was the last to feature Paul Walker, who died in 2013. While his character Brian rode off into the sunset, he might come back for Fast & Furious 9.

Making Paul Proud

While filming, Vin Diesel shared a photo of himself and Paul’s brother Cody hanging out on set. “There is something special that happens every time Cody comes to visit production… Always making Pablo proud! All love, always,” Diesel captioned the photo. As expected, fans got emotional towards this tribute to Paul. “Missing Paul Walker every day don’t seem right that he’s gone he was a great actor and I’m sure a great friend God bless to all the cast members of Paul walkers and god bless u Paul,” Instagram user cheryl_bilicki stated.

Some users suspect Cody could be reprising Brian for the new film. “So is Paul walker’s character coming back,” asked Instagram user laritza_lovestruck4.

Brother To Brother

Following Paul’s death, his brothers Cody and Caleb filled in to shoot the rest of Furious 7. For Cody, being a part of a global franchise was overwhelming at first. “It was an absolute roller coaster throughout the entire process—lots of tears, lots of laughs. It’s an experience that I was very hesitant to commit to, but I’m really glad I did. I met a ton of really amazing people and made several life-long friendships,” Cody told E! back in 2015.

Following Furious 7, Cody pursued a full-time acting career. Before Furious 7, he starred in the low budget horror film Abandoned Mine. In 2016, he appeared in the film USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage and the show In The Rough. This October, he’ll star in The Last Full Measure, which features Sebastian Stan, Christopher Plummer, and William Hurt. Aside from acting, Cody is the chief executive officer of Paul’s Reach Out Worldwide charity organization.

Always Willing To Return

Last year, Cody and Caleb talked to Associated Press about reviving Brian in a future Fast and the Furious movie. “I think there could potentially be a way to do it. But it would take a lot of thought and it’d have to be tasteful. It would have to be tasteful. He was the real deal, the real car guy. And in his absence, I — you know — I think it’s lost its way in a big way,” Cody told Associated Press.

Since the world premiere, neither Cody or Caleb has watched Furious 7. They’re hoping to pass down their brother’s legacy to their own children. “I think one day, when our kids are little older and we are able to share that experience with them and be like, ‘Hey look, this is your uncle Paul. He was the greatest guy in the world and here we are being able to portray him and finish up this movie for him.’ That’s when I think it will really hit that I think it was really worth it and special and all that. But in the meantime, it’s still a little conflicted,” Caleb told Associated Press.

More Fast, More Furious

While there’s no word if Brian will come back, his wife Mia will return in the forthcoming movie. This will be actress Jordana Brewster’s return to the franchise since Furious 7John Cena, Finn Cole, Anna Sawai, Vinnie Bennett, and Michael Rooker will join the cast in undisclosed roles. Filming is being done in England, Los Angeles, and Georgia. The Fast and the Furious franchise will also head to Thailand for the first time for some shoots. Fast & Furious 9 will arrive on May 22, 2020.

Molly Ringwald Had To Do This To Star In The Breakfast Club

It’s been well more than three decades since the movie The Breakfast Club taught us about seeing each other as more than just a jock, a nerd, a beauty, a criminal, or a basket case.
