The buzz surrounding Amazon’s upcoming Good Omens series is completely berserk. Even before any footage was shown, everyone was hooked with the casting choices. Fortunately, the first trailer for the show has been unveiled for your viewing pleasure.

The End Is Nigh

The two minute trailer finds angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley being content with living on Earth. Unfortunately, the apocalypse is on the way, and the two must team up to save the world.

Aziraphale is being played by Michael Sheen, who earned accolades for his work on The Queen. Crowley is being portrayed by David Tennant, who received the Special Recognition Award at the 2015 National Television Awards. Other cast members include Jon Hamm, Frances McDormand, and Nick Offerman.

Keeping Pratchett’s Vision Alive

After Good Omens co-creator Terry Pratchett died in 2015, writing the script was rough for Neil Gaiman. “I came back from his funeral and started writing the first episode of Good Omens and tried to convince myself that it was funny,” he said during the show’s panel at New York Comic Con.

When it came to finishing the script, Pratchett was always in his mind. “When I wrote my bits of Good Omens, the novel, I was writing them for a very specific audience: Terry Pratchett. That was my standard [for the series, as well],” he said.

Peace Of Mind

During filming, Gaiman’s presence on set really set things at ease. “You know you can’t veer off too much, [and] you’re sort of getting [his] seal of approval every day,” Sheen said during the panel.

Good Omens is set to arrive on Amazon Video sometime in 2019. For those living in the U.K., the series will air on BBC Two. The show is being directed by Douglas Mackinnon, who has directed episodes of Doctor Who and Jekyll.

Beverly Hills, 90210: Was Luke Perry Team Dylan or Team Brandon?

Some television shows come into our lives at the exact right moment, so that they become inextricably bound with our memories of those complicated coming-of-age years, Beverly Hills 90210 is without a doubt one of those shows. Meanwhile, when the cameras weren’t rolling, the cast was up to plenty of off-set antics of their own. Disclaimer: after you read about what went down, it might have you rethinking everything — were those angsty expressions just good acting, or were they bringing some real-life drama into it?
