Everything We Know About Donald Glover’s Mysterious Life

Published

on

Donald Glover has recently become a household name. He’s known for several smash hit songs and an appearance in a Star Wars film. Glover has had a storied career, from a stand-up comedian to a star on the cult classic sitcom, Community. But how much do we actually know about Donald Glover as a human being? That’s what we are here to find out.

Growing Up Was Troubling For Him

Donald Glover was born in Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up in the southern parts of the United States has its pros and cons, but for a black man, the cons often outweigh the pros. He has described that Confederate flags were proudly shown outside neighborhood houses and that, while he was treated well, many avoided interaction with him. All of this was simply because of his skin color, a truly saddening thought. He managed to leave this part of his life behind and pursue his passion for the arts.

He Got A Degree In Writing

Escaping to another world where life was safer was important to Glover. He graduated the DeKalb School of the Arts, where his teachers voted that he would one day write for The Simpsons. He then attended New York University Tisch School of the Arts which he graduated from in 2006. Attaining a degree in Dramatic Writing, Glover pursued a career that ended up taking many forms. Separate from his career, he started a family.

He Is A Father To Two Children

Donald Glover has remained tight-lipped about his personal life, and for good reason. Over time he has given us information such as the name of his life partner, Michelle. They recently had a new child that he revealed is his second son. His first son is named Legend, to whom he dedicated a song. His career is much more documented that his private life, however.

His Career Has Branched Off In Many Directions

Donald Glover may have gained a degree in Dramatic Writing, but he actually went into a more comedic direction at first. Gaining attention through stand-up comedy routines and bit roles on various TV shows, he would be offered the job that made him famous. In the fantastic comedy show Comunity, Donald Glover demonstrated his acting skills to such an extent that he ended up leaving the show after season 5 in order to to pursue other exciting opportunities. As a musician, he is known as Childish Gambino. Due to his ever-rising popularity, Glover has found it necessary to keep quiet about aspects of his personal life.

He Only Reveals Information When He Feels It’s Needed

We live in an era in which anyone can state their opinion and make it easily readable by people across the world. In this era, it is difficult to live a quieter, simpler life away from the spotlight. Donald Glover has managed to keep his life quiet while still stating his opinions on his work. He only gives information after the fact, like the name of his mysterious life partner that was only revealed a few years ago. No one can blame Glover for wanting to live a normal life, which is something many can get behind.
