Knowing that a shelter was not a suitable place to giving birth, Jennifer arranged for Debbie to be moved to the rescue center. Unfortunately, Debbie suddenly went into labor in the car.

Unfortunately, she was using her husband’s car the day she met Debbie – a car her husband specifically told her should be pooch-free as he already bought her an SUV to rescue as many dogs as she wanted.

“We knew this dog was pregnant but didn’t think she was quite ready to go,” Taylor told The Dodo in an interview. “My first thought was, ‘Oh no, not now! A shelter is no place to have puppies. This is not good timing, mamma, you’re supposed to hold them in until you get to your foster home,’” she added.

Since she was left with no choice but to bring Debbie home, Taylor loaded the mom and her pups in the car and candidly posted a photo on her Facebook page saying: “I have a husky giving birth in the back of my car. Please don’t tell my husband.”

Debbie eventually gave birth to eight puppies and Taylor made sure she and her babies were well taken-cared of.

“Debbie is such a good mother dog to her babies,” Taylor said.

The mom dog and her pups are now under the care of Texas Sled Dog Rescue and given the moniker – “Debbie and the Big Bang Family”.

As to the meaning behind the name, Rebecca Chavez from the rescue group told The Dodo: “We picked The Big Bang Theory as the theme for this family because they came in with such a bang; it just seemed fitting.”
